Inspiring Conversations with Aaron Lawrence of Intrepid Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Lawrence.

Hi Aaron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Intrepid Creative started in a classroom at William Jewell College. Brett and I were taking a class called “Entrepreneurial Mindset,” We were supposed to find a problem to solve and pitch our solution at the end of the semester. We founded Intrepid Creative and acquired our first paying client within the first few months. Fast forward to graduation, and we needed to make more money to jump full-time into our own company, so we continued working part-time jobs as we built our client list. Finally, in August 2020, we secured a lease on our office and went full-time with Intrepid Creative. We have since hired our creative director, Sam, and continue growing! From short films and documentaries to photography and commercials, we are a one-stop shop for all visual services.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Neither of us went to school for filmmaking, so starting a company in this industry took a lot of work. Luckily we made friends with several people in the Kansas City film scene and were able to get on set, allowing us to learn from some of the best.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Intrepid Creative offers visual services of all kinds, mainly video production, photography, and motion graphics. We have a documentary-style approach to video production and believe stories are the collective voice of human nature. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies and marketing agencies to non-profits and small businesses. We specialize in creating fundraising videos, training and educational content, and product launch commercials. We welcome conversations about using creative services to solve problems and inspire action.
