Community Highlights: Meet Miranda Phillips of Top Tier Photo 360 Photo Booth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Phillips.

Hi Miranda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Believe it or not, I got started by a chance encounter. I was planning an event for my corporate job, which included an open-air photo booth. I observed the joy and excitement the photo booth brought to our event and wanted to learn more about the industry. I formed a relationship with the photo booth owner, and she began to share information. I did preliminary research to understand this type of service’s market share and uptake. I eventually decided that the 360 photo booth was the best option for me; it was a new niche with great interest.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road – quite the opposite. Some of my struggles include learning new photo booth software and being present on social media. Before owning my own business, I was absent from social media. Now I’m very intentional about the content I post as I’m working to engage my target audience, amplify my brand, and gain market share. Time is another struggle – there are only 24 hours a day, but you have to work your day job, network with other vendors, create content, and identify citywide events you want to be engaged in.

We’ve been impressed with Top Tier Photo 360 Photo Booth, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Top Tier Photo 360 Photo Booth is different from your ordinary photo booth. We provide the excitement that can only be experienced when you step on MY platform, the camera begins to spin, and the music is playing. Once the camera stops, it doesn’t end there; each guest receives a video of their session that they can immediately share on their social media platform. We create “you had to be there moments” and memories of a lifetime. We provide services for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and private events. Lastly, we specialize in providing the Ultimate 360 Experience.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up in Fayetteville, NC, so I’m a southern girl at heart. Some might say I was hell on wheels, but I was misunderstood. I was a hybrid of a tomboy and a girlie girl. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends, running track, and cheerleading. I graduated from Fayetteville State University, an HBCU (Bronco Pride), where I was a dancer in the band. I moved to Kansas in 2004 where I reside with my three sons Jamir, Josiah, and Jace – my heartbeats.
