Hi Asakhe, please start by introducing yourself. We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started as a backup singer at my church and later released music after Matric. It is hard to grow and gain visibility for your brand as an independent musician, but with the little I had, I kept on going without giving up and now have over 1.7k plays on Audiomack in the space of 4 months from the account being created.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m looking forward to being financially independent and funding my dream myself. It hasn’t been a smooth road, to be honest, but the vision fuels me to go forward. Lack of finances has been a great hindrance since I started my career, but I still need to go forward.

I am a singer and songwriter by profession. I specialize in gospel and Christian music; the uniqueness of my voice and talent sets me apart from others. I am known for my single “plans of salvation.” I’m most proud of myself for standing strong in my faith and career.
