Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Woods.
Hi Angel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In college, while playing basketball at Baker University, I began to coach elementary and middle school girls and coached them through high school. I coached one year at Lincoln prep, my alma mater. Now I am in my second year as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Kansas City Kansas Community college. Besides coaching basketball, I am a lifestyle influencer, started with hair products, and am now trying to venture into other categories!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road when it comes to coaching. You must sacrifice things like weekends and events, for instance, time! However, it is all worth it in the end. When it comes to content online, the biggest struggle is not being so critical of myself; there’s content I don’t release because it’s not perfect or I don’t feel right about it. My newest biggest struggle is finding time to dedicate to it while becoming a new mother and balancing it all.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Women’s Basketball coach and a lifestyle influencer! I specialize in hair products and intend to venture into more categories. I am most proud of getting to coach basketball on the collegiate level! I am also proud of creating content for money and getting paid partnerships with one of my favorite brands.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Adaptability has been the main characteristic that’s led to my success because I always make it work no matter what by being adaptable in all situations.
