Rising Stars: Meet Taliesha Shockley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taliesha Shockley.

Hi Taliesha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey when I was 13 years old- always took interest in the beauty world! I was always confident in how I looked & felt like I could encourage women of the world to love themselves FIRST inside & out before enhancing their beauty with hair, makeup, etc.

At 20 years old, I decided to take an 8-month course on business branding & got my LLC license; Paix Et Amour Glam Bar. I am now 24 & going strong.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, having a business was smooth going! It just takes a lot of work with marketing & you have to be CONSISTENT! I dropped off a while due to personal reasons but it’s in my blood to be a boss so I picked it back up without hesitation!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in makeup spa treatments, cosmetics & eyelash extensions. I am proud of the consistency I built & my patience. To have a business is to have patience.

I am set apart from others because I look beyond the service I am giving the clients. I look at their heart & encourage them to always love themselves no matter what; never compare themselves to the next person. YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am big on taking risks! Do whatever your heart desire. Jump off even if you’re scared because you will never regret the possibilities you may run into! I was scared to put my work out at the beginning but having confidence regardless of what anyone had to say, was key. I did it and now I’m hosting Business Branding Brunches.
