Today we’d like to introduce you to Fady Gergis.
Hi Fady, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my business with my laptop in my bedroom, which was all I had. It started only for audio/media production purposes. I expanded from just offering audio/media to complete services for businesses (Audio/Visuals/Website/App development/Business consulting/Marketing Consulting). I work with several non-profits here in Kansas City and throughout the country, as well as for-profit businesses. Now I am full-time employed under my business as well as my wife, with 4-8 regular contractors working for us.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Not a smooth road, but the Lord has been very gracious to us; one thing that helped us a lot is that we never gave up when things didn’t work the first time, and we pushed through it—tried once, twice, and even more till we got it up and running.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Heartbeat Productions is a full-service Production Company based in Kansas City, but I work with clients worldwide. I have a long list of clients we have worked with, from producing Music Records to Promotional Videos, Photoshoots, Marketing, Digital Distribution, Social Media Management, and business consulting.
Here are some examples of those clients:
– International House Of Prayer Kansas City
– Revive Church Kansas City
– Highland Desert Church California
– Connection Pointe Church Kansas City
– Spirit Of Health
– Jaye Thomas
– Justin Rizzo
– Revive Music
– Forerunner Music
– Andrew Brunson
– Hope City, Kansas City
– Corey Russell
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the diversity in Kansas City; I love that it’s a medium-size city; you get a lot of stuff, but not with the crazy traffic and the busyness of bigger cities. Also, it is more affordable to live in than in bigger cities, with still many opportunities for growing businesses.
What I don’t like about the city:
– Roads need some work
– Crazy humid hot weather in the summer
– City infra-structure lacks a lot
