Rising Stars: Meet Angela Believes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Believes.

Hi Angela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started with prayer & belief. I knew I had a voice to be heard & an encouraging story to share.

I started sharing my poetry publicly at open mics in 2013, became a host/emcee, modeled and acted in gospel stage plays & a film, and became a mentor, radio personality & now an entrepreneur.

I got to where I am today because of my belief in God & the prayers of my family & ancestors. I got to where I am today overcoming loss, mistakes any obstacles in my way.

I got to where I am today because of people who saw something in me when I didn’t. I got to where I am today to show young girls & anyone else who needs it. You can have the life you desire even if you can see it, yet.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
With obstacles, I learned it can be a compass. I’ve had to change direction to align on the right path.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I AM an artist, which means I can do whatever I want.

My company Angela Believes, LLC provides event, television & radio hosting services. I am most proud of the mentorship & sincere connection, inspiration & joy that is mutually shared with the people I meet.

What sets me apart from others is there is only one of me & no one can do what I do how I do it. And that’s what makes us all unique
