Hi Cienna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey into the world of photography on a whim! I started by doing free sessions for anyone that would give me the time of day and I went from there. I quickly turned my hobby passion into a career and I am so happy I did. My niche soon became Empowerment Photography. Helping others see the beauty in themselves was something I wanted to focus on full time and is what I’m currently doing today!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every business owner can probably agree that as long as your mind is committed nothing can get in your way. However, one of the biggest obstacles I ran into was finding my artistic aesthetic and staying up to date on photography trends. The photography world moves so fast and it seems like every other week there is something new to learn.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Empowerment Photography. I focus on showing people their individual beauty through my work. Society has framed the “idea” of beauty into a tiny box. My goal is to change the social norms and show the world what real beauty looks like and that it doesn’t fit into this unrealistic box of expectations they have formed over everyone for decades.
How do you think about luck?
I believe the energy you put into the world will come back to you tenfold.
