Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Kearns.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got my start working with my grandfather. He gave me an appreciation for wood and carpentry. More recently my good friend Michele Dechadenedes with Creative Vibes Design gave me the push I needed to pursue this passion.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey has never been a smooth road. I spent many years trying to find what I was looking for. I had no idea it had been right under my nose. I went through being homeless, dropping out of college, losing some really important people; and at times thought my best days had passed.

Kearns Karpentry LLC takes pride in being “square with our customers”. I want to bring back old-fashioned values with our customers. The kind of relationship where we know you, even know your pets, and especially know what you want. We provide general (non-structural) carpentry services. I am currently working on a General Contractors license and will hopefully be offering further services in the near future.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just don’t give up. That’s really it. You’re going to want to, a lot. Just don’t… “What goes down, must come up”.
