Meet Sir Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sir Adams.

Hello Sir Adams, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started with poetry when I was 11 years old.

It was a way to communicate my feelings, and emotions without feeling completely vulnerable. From there, it led to creating music and moving to Hollywood, CA to attend the Los Angeles Recording School.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I think with all things in life, the path to what we consider “success” is never a smooth road. Making it to California was a struggle by itself.

Finances were an issue at that time which led to me traveling there by train, for 36 hours. To build a following in Kansas City and an even bigger market in Los Angeles was a struggle, but also, a blessing in disguise.

Definitely ups and downs, but let’s be honest, when was the last time you traveled or ventured somewhere with a smooth road?

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I guess the best way to explain it is by saying I’m a creator. I like to use that word because creativity stretches far beyond music.

Before music, it was films, anime, and art that drew me into being a creator. Music fell right into place, and I just started combining them all together to create a sound of my own.

Knowing I’ve accomplished things like newspaper placements, performing at festivals including SXSW, and having listeners know my words or message me to tell me I changed their life or the way they think because of a song, means the world.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I need that Grammy, haha.

Hopefully in a spot to be able to share my words and life with millions. The goal has always been to have an impact on someone’s life. To be able to have a listen say “Hey, I’ve been through that” or “Hey, I’ve understood, I’ve been there”.

It’s all about connecting with people and connections.
