Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Croci.
Hi Alicia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Wildly Creative Studio because I wanted to create a live worth living in. I wanted to create a life that I was in control of. I didn’t want to be held back by someone else – I didn’t want someone telling me when I could work, what I could make and what I could do. I didn’t want that excuse of “I hate my job” to be unhappy.
With my own business, I’m the only one holding me back – I’m the only one who limits what I can do and what I can make. There is no one else to blame but myself and that makes me push myself harder to become the person I want to be.
I worked for two different advertising agencies – and they both started off great but then ended up leading to some serious burnout.
I knew I didn’t want a life like this – I worked my ass off to land an agency job and it wasn’t what I dreamed it to be. It was awful, it almost made me change my whole career path but then I saw how much income I was making that company and not even seeing ⅓ of it in my paycheck and I knew I could do the same thing on my own but serve people in a better more authentic way.
Seeing the way that business owners were treated conflicted with my values and morals and I wanted to change the industry.
Dabbling in the influencer space on Instagram, I saw the success of other entrepreneurs and seeing other people doing it. I decided to take the leap.
Wildly Creative Studio was creating in January of 2021, in March I started taking on smaller clients, in August (due to some personal things) I gave my notice to my 9-5 by October I was 100% on my own – and in January of 2022, I hired my first part-time employee.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been an exciting journey but it has not been easy. What you don’t see online when you see the success of people that have taken the same leap is the amount of anxiety and stress that comes along with it.
I had “buyers remorse” like crazy after I gave notice to my 9-5 — like what the heck did I just do. And panic set in for a few weeks. Once, I figured out that I had this and it started to go away but I still have some really hard weeks where I think I could just give it all up and go back to a safe comfortable job but I would be giving up the life I wanted to create.
I actually wrote out a blog a little big ago of 5 things I wish I knew before I started my business that shares some of the ups and downs: https://wildlycreativestudio.com/5-things-i-wish-i-knew-before-i-started-my-business/
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Wildly Creative Studio is a full-service creative agency. We offer custom brand design, website design, social media management, social media engagement/lead generation, and social media coaching.
We work with online service providers, business coaches, wellness coaches, small business owners in the health and beauty space and almost everyone in-between.
We are known for our strategy approach to all services and our collaboration with clients. Every client we work with gets a personalized custom experience. We are known for integrating ourselves within our clients’ teams so we can truly learn about their business and help its online presence as if it were our own.
The main thing is we hold our clients accountable. Together, we work on building their online presence that helps them show up and stand out but in a way that still holds true to their business values. We don’t want our clients to feel isolated and out of touch – it truly is a collaboration and between their love and passion for their business and our expertise.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Honestly, luck hasn’t played a role…maybe more manifestation that luck. I’m not really big into the woo but in some aspects of manifestation I do believe in. I said out loud many times I wanted to be in a place to leave my 9-5 by the end of the summer and it came true.
I do believe if you set a goal and you work your butt of to make it happen it does. Maybe the universe played a role maybe it didn’t. I just know this was all me, all the work I put into building a business and all the investments I made to learn more on how to build a business and land clients.
