Hidden Gems: Meet Latasha Lewis of GLAM Properties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latasha Lewis.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2007, I started on the road of being an entrepreneur. I had no knowledge and former education I just knew I had a calling to change my life and teach other women like myself to do the same.

While working on my Business Administration (Major: Advertising | Minor: Graphic Design) degree at Art Institute, I worked on a few endeavors trying to find my niche (fashion marketing and business management).

I started my career in real estate | renovation as an executive assistant in a small brokerage. I wasn’t intending to be a real estate agent but it started to look interesting to me. I started to study for the MO Real Estate Agent exam when the economy took a downturn and we went into a recession. In 2012, I obtained my real estate license focused on property management.

Where I got into make-readies and renovations and found out I could use my knowledge of design and management for real estate in real estate. I started studying project management at Devry University. In 2016. I graduated with my second Business Administration Degree (Major: Project Management).

In 2018, I started GLAM Properties because I found that real estate investors needed someone who really cared about their best interests. This includes helping them find properties, fund the deal, help with the design concepts, manage the renovation, marketing the property, and getting sold/rented.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No! I didn’t have the support I thought I would from my family and so I fell into a deep depression at times. It took the road to success longer which caused a lot of rerouting.
