Community Highlights: Meet Jaurie “Jee” Wells of Sacred Space Declutter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaurie “Jee” Wells.

Hi Jaurie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jaurie, but I go by Jee to make things easier, haha. I have been married for 18 years to the best husband anyone could ask for and we have 6 beautiful kids that we homeschool and raise in the country.

When I was a senior in high school, my house burnt down days before Christmas. My family had a rough few years after we lost everything. This experience taught me I could live with less, that there’s so much more to life than possessions, and that I am not defined by what I do and do not have.

As an adult, I began to share my clutter-free lifestyle tips on Facebook. From there, I began to go to friends’ houses to show them my methods and systems. They began to share and organically it turned into a business! That tragedy when I was 18 years old ended up forming a beautiful line of work that is more like a calling and passion.

It’s my passion to help people find peace in their homes and to be freed from the clutches of materialism and consumerism.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, when you love what you do, even the tough stuff feels… right. I learn and grow and improve from every experience whether that is negative or positive. My biggest struggle is within me— I have been afraid of my own success.

Each stepping stone has brought me out of my comfort zone and sometimes I want to run and hide, but then another experience surfaces and breathes new life into me or assures me to keep going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I declutter, organize, and design mood boards for homes. I think what sets me apart is that I meet people exactly where they are at with no judgment at all.

I promote peace over perfection. It’s about protecting your sacred spaces— home, body, mind, soul, etc. It’s not about being Pinterest-worthy. I hold my client’s hands and offer systems and methods that will improve their lives. Also, we take the clutter and donate, dispose of, or sell it for our clients.

We now have online coaching and a course called Sacred Space School to help others DIY their clutter (a down-to-earth guide on decluttering!). I’m most proud that my brand promotes peace and non-judgment. I want people to experience a warm and loving feeling when they work with me.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I think people are surprised when they find out I have six kids. They usually can’t believe I can keep such a tidy home with so many people in it. I’m not a superwoman, I just follow my clutter-free methods! I practice what I preach. It also might be surprising that I don’t adhere to minimalism.
