Rising Stars: Meet Joshua Pate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Pate.

Hi Joshua, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
One of my closest friends was shot in the neck and she was paralyzed from the waist down. She called me one day on video chat and she told me she wanted to tell her story. So the next day, I purchase my camera and two years later here I am. Three times published photographer who works with great models.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it wasn’t smooth I had to make a lot of adjustments to who I was as a person. When you are a beginner there are a lot of people who don’t want to work with you because your skills aren’t up to par. But if you keep going and keep pushing eventually people will see your potential

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a three times published photographer. I’m known for taking great pictures and working hard on my craft. I’m most proud of the fact that I just got up and started doing it no lessons no school no anything. I just one day just bought a camera and I never stopped. What sets me apart from others is my style.

I kind of just go with the flow be and be innovative. I try to be my own person create my own way.

What matters most to you? Why?
After a photo shoot, the customer or model leaves the session with a big smile and is satisfied. I get a major confidence boost seeing others happy just offering a service and seeing the results the positive results is what matters to me.

It’s important to me because I like to see people in a good space. I want to see peolpe at their best so I try my best to bring that out of them.

• Full session individual photoshoot $100 per hour 1 outfit change per hour Make artist available Professional studio available $20 dollar deposit 20-25 edited photos 5~7 day to till you receive pictures Tips are highly appreciated.
• Full session family photoshoot $125 per hour 1 outfit change per hour Make up artist available Professional studio available $20 deposit 20-25 edited photos 5~7 day to till you receive pictures Tips are highly appreciated.
• Events (birthdays funeral baby showers etc) $150 per hour $50 deposit $50 dollar travel fee 50 or more edited pics including the raw and unedited 2~4 week till you receive your pictures Tips are highly appreciated.
• Small weddings up to 8 hours $200 an hour $50 dollar travel fee 50 or more edited pics including the raw and unedited $50 deposit 3~4 week return on pictures Tips are highly appreciated.
