Today we’d like to introduce you to En Vee.
Hi En Vee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Cuban/American vocalist, emcee, and entertainer originally from Cuba raised in Miami, FL. I am part of Quixotic, a performance company based out of Kansas City. They created a residency show in Miami, which I was the Lead Vocalist and Emcee.
After our residency ended, I moved to KC to continue my work with Quixotic. We are now currently in our second Sensatia Cabaret run, currently in Crown Center. Also became the lead singer of Ziggy and The Neptunes, Quixotic’s fusion jazz, pop, rock, classical house band.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I moved to Kansas City right before the pandemic hit. It was and has been extremely challenging performing in safe environments. Blessed to work for a company that has our and the patrons safety as a priority. It has been difficult, however Kansas City has given me a lot of love.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been performing since I was a little girl. My father was a professional singer in Cuba before we moved to this country. I am grateful that even through the last two years, performing has been my only source of work.
I am known for my big voice but mostly for my love of animals, especially dogs and hopefully for my kindness. I believe, most of all that kindness is our biggest gift and it should be given daily and with abundance.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My family is extremely supportive and loving. My mother, brother, wife, and our dog Layla are always in my corner. I also have encouragement and support from the beautiful humans that music has brought to my life.
I am truly so grateful for them all!!!
