Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Fink.
Hi Jonathan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I live in Leawood, Kansas with my wife Reggie and our children Kayla and Nate. I grew up in Merrick, New York on Long Island. I went to college at Tulane University and earned my MBA from UMKC. At the age of 38, a midlife crisis inspired me to explore a spiritual path. As I transformed myself through the practice of yoga and meditation, I was inspired to start my own investment firm called Satya Investment Management in 2016. In 2018, I wrote a book about my spiritual journey called The Baseball Gods are Real and I also created a book publishing company called Polo Grounds. So far have published three books in my “Baseball Gods” book series and I also have penned a three part book series called The Music Gods are Real. I am currently working on my first fictional novel.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I think both Jesus and Buddha and I’m sure many other spiritual leaders have referred to the idea that suffering is a prerequisite for spiritual transformation.
In 2012, I was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. When my family moved to Kansas City from New York, I lost half my clients. Then, when I started Satya Investment Management , only a fraction of my remaining clients joined me at my new firm. At the time, I was devastated losing so many family and friends as clients. Looking back now however, I am grateful for my suffering. It was the catalyst for my spiritual path.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My books are different. The chapters in my books are true life stories that are meant to open readers minds and hearts to greater possibilities. I want my books to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves.
While I still will be publishing non fiction books, I am now focused on fiction. I have already written two baseball related novels. My first fictional release called The Republic Baseball League, is now in the editing phase.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
My books are sold everywhere from Amazon.com to Target to Barnes and Noble.
As far as collaborations, I’d welcome the opportunity to speak at religious gatherings, middle schools and high schools about faith and the power of positive thinking. People interested in collaborating can email me directly at [email protected].
