Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaden Olson.
Hi Jaden, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I didn’t realize I wanted to be part of the beauty community until I was about to graduate high school. Every time my hairstylist would do my hair, I would be so fascinated by what she was doing and asking a bunch of questions. I literally would color my hair every other week starting in 6th grade. I even got an award for “Rainbow hair”. I always did my nails and then I eventually got really into doing makeup! I wanted art in my life and I thought it was the great mix! Cosmetology school is not for the faint of heart especially being the youngest in your class. I graduated right as the pandemic happened. Literally, my school was like we have to close but you have 4 hours so just come one and graduate. It sucked ‘cause I didn’t get to have the experience everyone else did ‘cause I was by myself and just missed that opportunity but I GRADUATED! I was one step closer to getting my license! I got my license 3 months after or so ‘cause everything shut down and it was a waiting game! Here I am a year and half or so into the industry!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I don’t know if this includes just about my career or life in general, but there has always been a bump in the road. Career-wise. There was issues with the school I was going to and just was not a great experience at all.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a hairstylist, hairdresser, cosmetologist, etc! I love what I do! I specialize in livid in colors, blonding, balayages, vivids. I am most proud of being able to say I got my license right before I hit 21! What sets me apart is I will listen to every concern you have to tell me; I will give you the why and a solution. I’ve had way too many beautiful people sit in my chair and tell me no one does this with them! It breaks my heart!
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
I feel like I’ve taken risks but when I hear risks, I hear like make-or-break type of deal. I wouldn’t say I’ve done that per se. I don’t know what I’ve done that was taking a risk.
