Meet Brett Jackson of KC Laser Co

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Jackson. Them and their team share their story with us below:

KC Laser Co is the culmination of years of experience, hard work, and dedication by Brett and Chantelle Jackson. We are a husband-and-wife team that loves what we do every single day. Our work with our wonderful customers allows us to spend time with our two boys, Aquila (4) and Titus (2). They love to help with everything we do. The four of us make up the heart and soul of KC Laser Co. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have definitely had our challenges as a small business. From finding solutions to surges in orders to cutting costs where we can. We have gotten creative with our team though and have been able to find family and friends that are capable to help us out. My sister, Erin, has been a huge help to our business, she has done everything from sewing to cleaning patches, to running the laser, all while raising her own family of three boys. Kathi is another family friend that brings 30+ years of sewing experience to the team. She is always so skilled and helpful in every project. We truly couldn’t be where we are today without both of them! 

Another struggle we have had is making time for life and stepping away from work for short periods. We love spending time as a family and when work is right in our home, we struggle to cut off right at five o’clock and be with them. We have made a conscious effort these past few months to make time for us and time for spending time together away from work as a family.

We really value each and every one of our customers. Each item we create we try to envision it becoming someone’s favorite new hat to wear, item to use every day, or a special gift that means so much. That always drives us to put our best into everything we do. 

Our goal with KC Laser Co is to continue to grow, to hire an amazing team around us, and to give back in many ways. We love to support those in our community, to build a team that is dedicated to our mission of creating amazing items for our customers. 

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I’ve always loved the outdoors. Exploring outside with friends or family. Going to places with my dad to fish. Along all of those years, I’ve still been amazed by God’s creation. A lot of those things have carried over into hats we have designed and some of our new designs coming later this year.
