Today we’d like to introduce you to Titus Smith.
Titus, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a Laborer at heart, it all started from an idea to buy a pick-up truck (you can always make money with a pick-up truck).
Really just wanted something to do during lay-off and make some extra money at the same time. I ended up actually enjoying being a service to others! The point I’m at now has truly been a blessing. Just the fact that I can be a blessing to others is so amazing to me. I truly believe in treating people the right way and it’s paying off. Sky’s the limit.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s never a smooth road starting out. There has to be a moment of struggle (it’s a test from life). I’ve had a work truck stolen in the start of my journey, been out of business for two-three years, moments of discouragement, but when desires are put on your heart, they’re there for a reason. Just keep fighting and push the pursuit!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m still a full-time employee for a company, but I’m working on transitioning to working for myself (God’s will). I consider us a professional junk removal company; we might not have the manpower of commercial companies, but even as small as we are, we provide a quality service. We do clean-outs (commercial or residential) brush removal, appliance and furniture removal, new construction lot clean ups, etc. we take pride in making sure customers get their money’s worth. We go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of and that’s what separates us from other companies.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve been learning how to step out on faith. Sometimes we hold ourselves back by not trusting God and taking a chance. Fear is the enemy, and its purpose is to keep you content. My most recent risk was a purchase of a truck. Didn’t even consider the cost of insurance, what I had to spend to get it up and running, really not even knowing if it was the smartest decision. I prayed on it, asked God if it’s meant for me to make it available, and it worked out in my favor. I’m still figuring out the bills (lol) but I’m not worried at all. TAKE THE RISK!

Tito and I met back in 2000. We we to middle school together. I always knew that he would accomplish great things in life. It is very inspirational to see someone that I knew as a kid, grow up and become his own boss. Keep up the good work.
