Meet Carisa Tucker of CnC Laundry Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carisa Tucker. 

Hi Carisa, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, I am Carisa Tucker founder and CEO of CnC Laundry Services. It all started from a conversation with my husband Cedric Tucker (co-founder of CnC Laundry Services). I was telling him how much I love doing laundry and love the smell of detergent and bleach in the air and he said maybe you should start a business doing laundry. Even as a child I loved doing laundry, living at my mom’s house I would do everyone in the house laundry. A lot of people call me crazy for loving it lol but I really do, it is my passion. CnC is named after me and my husband Cedric, he is the one who gave me the idea and pushed me to follow my passion so it only made sense to name it after the both of us. I honestly thought it was a dumb idea to start a business like this but I didn’t know how much my community needed this service until I got started. A few years after having that conversation and with the support of my husband, family, and friends I actually jumped out on faith and started CnC Laundry Services. I knew nothing about running a business or even ever thought about running and owning a business. CnC has been in business for one year and 2 months and I honestly think we have gotten this far with a lot of prayers, patience, and hard work. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely is not a smooth road! I never knew it was this hard to run a business. I think some of my struggles are juggling being a mom to an active 13-year-old boy, working a full-time job, going to school, and having a life outside of all of this. It’s tough trying to juggle it all, but I am learning each and every day how to find that balance. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
CnC is designed to help people in our community who struggle with staying on top of laundry. We wash, dry, fold, and return everything back in customized laundry bag. We are known for our great customer service. Every review we’ve gotten everyone is pleased with how professional we are and our great communication. I think what sets us apart from others is that this is my passion, I actually love doing this and it shows in my work. I am most proud of how far we have come and how much we have accomplished just within a year. We have so much more planned and I’m excited for it all. I want readers to know that our number one priority is satisfying our customers and making sure they are happy with the service. We go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. Our service is available to everyone and we can’t wait to service you next. 

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
The books I read at school is what helps me do my best. I am in school for business so everything that I’m learning, I apply it to the business. I learn something new about running a business each and every day.
