Today we’d like to introduce you to Dane Moss.
Hi Dane, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Kearney, Missouri and in 2017 graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a major in Geological Sciences & a minor in Physics. I was involved in many extracurricular activities including Sigma Phi Epsilon, head coach for the Nodaway County Special Olympics, Geology honors program (Sigma Gamma Epsilon) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists; all while working my way up the ladder at a local car dealership. From detailing cars, to sales, and eventually management my senior year of college, I quickly learned the ins & outs of the dealership & became a full time car buyer, which I would continue for the next three years.
After stepping away from the management position at the dealership, I knew that I wanted to go into a field where I could help more companies than just one. This was when Moss Marketing Group was formed! During my years at the dealership, I interviewed & hired countless marketing companies, each eventually falling short in delivering what we needed. There was a white space in the market. Social media marketing and the influence it has on consumers was just starting to take shape & I knew that I could create something that gave small businesses exactly what they were looking for. Name recognition, targeted ads, a return customer base, and measurable results, all without a contract.
A few months later, the accounts began to stack up. Companies were thrilled with the results they were seeing and it was time to grow Moss Marketing Group into the company I had always envisioned. What better person to hire than my brother, Drey Moss, who was the current finance manager at the dealership at which I had worked at before. Fast forward a few more months & it was time to continue expanding. Enter in my college roommate, Dalton Price who left medical sales to join the Moss Marketing team along with Logan Scott, a close family friend.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a much smoother road than expected with the growth of Moss Marketing Group. I think the growth has been pretty easy for Moss Marketing Group due to the work ethic of the team that I’m building along with us being so different from every other marketing company. Most marketing companies that I’ve dealt with are so similar and don’t market any differently than the next person. When we started we wanted to offer the help of content creation along with our marketing at no additional cost. In return, we are now giving companies more for their money and they see more results.

Moss Marketing Group specializes in digital media marketing. We assist companies with their content creation then help them use that content to return the largest amount of business possible. This includes video production, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, YouTube ads, Google ads, TikTok ads, and much more. With a wide variety of accounts in various spaces, we understand that every business model is different. By offering personalized marketing to each account, we are able to help those companies target new customers, keep current customers & excel their business all while delivering monthly reporting showing them that what we do, works.

Born & raised in Kansas City, I couldn’t imagine living nor running a business anywhere else. It’s a big city with a small town vibe. We have incredible people here & the opportunities are endless if you’re willing to go out & work for it.
