Community Highlights: Meet Hannah Wilson of Bridal Path Weddings & Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Wilson.

Hi Hannah, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Bridal Path Weddings & Events has been my dream for a very long time. I knew being a wedding planner and owning my own business was what I wanted to do. I graduated from UMKC with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. During my senior year, 2016-2017, at UMKC I took an internship under Stephanie Hopkins with Pretty + Planned. Stephanie gave me so much knowledge and experience to start my own business as a wedding planner in Kansas City. Even to this day we still grab lunch and refer clients to each other. In Kansas City there is no competition, we are all one tight unit that supports each other.

July 13th, 2017, I launched Bridal Path Weddings & Events. I remember how scary it was to launch my business, thinking no one would book me or know about me. I booked my first wedding within one week of launching the business. Since then, we have coordinated approximately 100+ weddings & events. We have grown to a team of five amazing ladies.

We offer Day of Coordination to Full Service, as well as destination weddings. We handle all of the details so you and your family can be guests at your own wedding. It has been such a blessing to be a part of our couple’s lives over months or even years of planning for their wedding day. It is truly a blessing!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I believe for any business or entrepreneur it is never an easy road. For me, the scariest part was actually launching my business and not knowing if anyone would book.

No one saw COVID coming and shutting down everything. Every business and family was affected in some shape or form. I remember in March of 2020 was when everything changed for so many people. My heart was broken for each of our couples that could not have their wedding. Some couples did an intimate ceremony and postponed the reception to 2021 or 2022. Some couples postponed altogether. No matter what the circumstances were, we promised to guide them through each step.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Planning your own events can be overwhelming sometimes. You are always on the move with little time to spare. Bridal Path Weddings & Events is here to be your personal guide through each step in the planning process.

We want to tell your love story through your wedding details for all of your guests to enjoy. Bridal Path is known to help create the details for each couple so no two weddings are alike. Your wedding day is about you two and that is a one-of-a-kind love story.

We offer several packages so we can cater to what your planning needs are. We offer Day of Coordination, Month of, Partial, and Full Service.

As your personal coordinator, we promise to make every detail perfect for your special day. From the venue down to the patterned tablecloths – every detail will be captured with precision and care.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
It is very important to help and support each entrepreneur. One thing I love about Kansas City’s wedding industry is the love and support we have for each other. We are all in this together and here for each other.
