Conversations with Keidra Ross

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keidra Ross.

Hi Keidra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got here today by stepping out on faith a little over a year ago. I’ve always had a heart to serve and help people. After being in the medical field for many years, I had decided that I was ready for more. I knew I wanted to start my own business just not exactly what. I journaled a lot and one particular journal entry on April 23, 2019 I journaled I wanted to have a Homecare business. For the next year, I went through many trials at my job I was at at the time. Throughout the year, I began volunteering my time at my church and joined the maintenance team. I would clean the church before and after services. As time went on, the day came where I was laid off. About a month after being laid off I decided I wanted to go start my business. Wasn’t sure what I was going to name it so I prayed about it and I got the name Keitiqued Care. Kei comes from my name and tiqued comes from the word critiqued. Once I had the name, I filed my LLC for my business and the rest is history. Not knowing at the time but the day I filed my LLC was the same day a year prior that I had journaled I wanted to have a Homecare business. Keitiqued Care is all bout cleansing the environment and lightening the burdens of my client’s souls. It’s deeper than just cleaning for me. I care about my clients as a whole. Cleaning their environment whether residential or commercial is just the start of helping them to move forward in life. I truly believe that your environment is a reflection of you. It also plays a major role in what you put out into the earth. Today business is doing well. As I continue to grow and learn more and more about entrepreneurship, what has helped me the most on this journey is my relationship with God. I started my company with little to no money and not really having everything I needed. But once I stepped out of my comfort zone and the more I believed God the more he supplied for me and my company. My clients have also played a major role in getting me where I am today. They are constantly telling their family and friends about my business and I continue to grow day by day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Things overall have been smooth for me. Entrepreneurship is not easy by far. You definitely have to want it. You have to wake up everyday and be dedicated to bettering your craft. Always learning and creating avenues for your business. You have to know what sets you apart from other businesses in your field and work that in your favor. I believe what’s made the road smooth for me is setting rules and standards for my business and sticking to them. Knowing that everyone won’t be a match for my business and that’s ok.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a professional cleaner. I’m known for providing excellent service to my clients. My work truly speaks for itself. My favorite thing to clean is wood floors. I love to revive them and make them shine like new. What sets me apart from others is the care that I give through my cleaning. My clients aren’t just clients to me. I

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see my business growing and expanding. Things like hiring employees. Traveling around the world to provide services. And servicing more high-end clients.
