Conversations with Tiffany Weyant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Weyant.

Hi Tiffany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved making things for others. Every year for Christmas, I would spend hours dedicated to making something beautiful for my family and friends. This love of creating only got stronger as I got older and had the means to dabble in more craft projects. Once I purchased my first Cricut, I started personalizing everything. Nothing was safe from my clutches! Fast forward to the pandemic. I found myself feeling lost and uncreative. I wasn’t interested in creating anything for myself, but a few friends asked me to make things for them. Creating something custom from just an idea sparked that joy of creating again in me and Wey Better Creations was born! I set out to find my sense of creativity and to start making beautiful things again. I narrowed down what I would offer, but I really want to get in the business of making custom items for customers. I love the challenge of designing something new and expanding on my abilities. While I still offer some general options for my customers, I really look forward to the custom requests!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been a smooth road. Getting started and staying motivated is difficult for me, especially if I don’t sell a lot one month. I struggled at the beginning to take quality photos of my products and to learn how to market them properly, but I have worked tirelessly to learn how to take and edit photos. I am still struggling with getting my name out there and finding customers to sell to that aren’t directly my family or friends. However, each day I am striving to create something successful and maintain my momentum!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I offer a variety of things, but the main ones are tote bags, hand towels, and tumbler cups. I have offered custom blankets and custom etched glasses, as well. I am most proud of the designs I create. I work hard to come up with funny designs that also look good. I feel like I am different than others because I am willing to work with my customers to come up with their ideal design. I often work off someone’s idea and send them a few different design options. My business is really about creating custom, personal items for people, so the more custom, the better! I love to be challenged and try new things!

How do you define success?
I define success by a satisfied customer! I pride myself on listening to other’s needs and expectations, so when my customers are happy, I am happy.
