Today we’d like to introduce you to Malia Carr.
Malia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I originally worked for Spatique for over a year. It was my first job out of esthetic school and my first choice. I was drawn to Spatique because they specialize in Sugaring hair removal. I left the company and had other esthetic jobs but then about a year and a half later ended up becoming the business owner! At that time, I had less than $500 to start my entrepreneurial journey. I was literally doing facials with sample products from the skincare company I was using at the time. Through lots of hard work and surprise blessings along the way, I have built my business to what it is today! June 2021 was my two year anniversary!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Learning how to budget, track expenses, and planning orders has been my biggest struggle. Esthetics comes naturally to me! Business and planning do not. I have learned a lot and have gotten better in many areas but am still learning.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Chill days with my son make me happy. I love getting to go home and cuddle and relax with him. Even if we are just watching a movie, I cherish that time. If he is in a good mood, that is!
