Today we’d like to introduce you to Tru Marshall.
Hi Tru, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m always in heavy discussions with peers, strangers, family and friends. The need for perspective is serious for a lot of people. I decided to start an online talk show to help more people with different issues and topics. On my show the viewers choose the topics they want to discuss and I encourage everyone to assist with the topic. It’s not just about me, this is for everyone. I’m just here to help. I also push positivity and motivation on TruTalk. Everyone needs someone in their corner to encourage them to keep pushing no matter what. That’s what TruTalk Live is all about!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hosting TruTalk has never been a smooth road. You face a lot of difficulty in dealing with people. There are so many opinions on how things should be done or maybe someone disagrees with the topics and they’ll get on the live discussion being very critical. It’s ok though, that’s what it’s like dealing with people. I have to take in the good with the bad but the main weapon against this is Love. Love Always Wins!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I want to add that I appreciate you saying you’re big fans of mine! That’s so awesome and refreshing to know! I appreciate you all so much! Besides the hair story and my love for it, TruTalk is my first love and my first baby! With this platform I try to keep my ears open on what’s trending on social media as well as “the streets”, if you will. There’s a big difference between what’s going on online and what’s going on in reality. So I binge on keeping the conversations flowing and dissecting what topics might be really good for the time at hand. Even though topics are chosen by the viewers, I sometimes feel that there are some worth throwing in there by me. It’s good to keep some diversity so we’re not staying on particular subjects that have already been discussed in some way or another. I Love what I do. Stay Tuned! Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Empathy is most important. You don’t see it anymore nowadays. People are on the go and don’t have time to show it. The pandemic hasn’t made it any better either. We must show compassion for each other.
