Community Highlights: Meet Lauren Cunningham of Everyday Organize

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Cunningham.

Hi Lauren, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been one of those organized people (I know, shameful!) but about ten years ago, we started having kids and I quickly realized that I had no idea how to motivate others in my home to be organized. So since I’ve been on this journey as a mom to really learn how to teach and motivate my own family. To figure out how to create systems that enable us to stay organized. To find ways to build organization into our daily lives. And through my own family, I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. So now I feel super passionate about helping other families find the freedom that organizations can bring to their homes.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If you’ve ever had young kiddos in your home, you know very few of them come into this world already organized! It has taken a lot of patience, but I am a big believer in teaching them young and finding ways to make organization fun…or even a game! I’ve been on my own journey to create an organized home for our family, and I love helping others do the same.

When I’m organizing for a family, I love to walk through a newly organized space with the kids and take a little time to practice where they will put things now and how they can help keep it organized. I think the kids are oftentimes more excited about an organized space than the adults! Because walking into an organized room really does just make you breathe easier.

At Everyday Organize, we specialize in helping women find margin in their homes + lives through organization. We offer everything from in-home organizing to virtual organizing and even DIY consulting for those who love to “do” themselves and just need design inspiration and product recommendations.

My most proud moments are when a client reaches out to me months later letting me know that the systems we put in place are still working!! We put so much thought into creating custom organizing solutions for each home that will work for their specific family – that’s why we can’t get enough of hearing that it really does work! Create the systems, organize, educate your family members. And it really does work.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is creating lasting relationships with our clients. When the project ends, that’s not the last time they hear from us. We check in periodically to see how it’s going, offer advice on any organizing hiccups, and share new products we see that might work well in their home.
