Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Buchanan.
Hi Molly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and married my college sweetheart, Chad, in 2007. During our first year of marriage, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer, completed eight months of chemotherapy, and celebrate being cancer-free every July 7th, since 2008. I followed that same boy to Kansas City approximately ten years ago, and we now call it home. We struggled with infertility and tried to start a family on our own for five years, and ultimately became parents to our son, Jack, through adoption. It’s been a wild ride, and friends kept encouraging me to share, so I started a blog in 2018, and a corresponding Instagram account came soon after. I share a lot about my life and all the things I love, which has evolved into a lot of local businesses and people.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It certainly hasn’t been a “smooth” road, but I’m grateful for everything I have experienced in my life. These challenges have made me who I am today, and everything has worked out exactly as it should.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have a full-time corporate job in banking, and I love it! I have a fairly creative corporate job, but the blogger and influencer roles allow me to be creative in a way that is completely and authentically me. I love meeting people, learning more about them, and sharing them with my friends in a fun and interesting ways.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am a huge podcast nerd and have a huge list of recommendations. However, the very first podcast I ever listened to is still my favorite today: Happier with Gretchen Rubin. There are so many great tips and nuggets of information, and I always walk away inspired.
