Rising Stars: Meet 2S Design House

Today we’d like to introduce you to 2S Design House. Them and their team share their story with us below:

2S Design House began as a fun idea between two friends and designers, Christine Nelson of AnnMann Designs and Ngan Vuong, of Ngan Vuong Designs. The more they tossed around the idea, the more passionate the two became to turn this idea into reality. Amanda Lind was then added into the 2S Design House founders as our COO.

Two years later, 2S Design House came to life with the vision to create luxurious jewelry, accessories and art that invokes strength and courage in those who wear it. In addition, 2S Design House would work to bring awareness to social and environmental issues the designers are passionate about.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of starting a business is a rollercoaster. So many moving pieces, some of it going really fast, and some of it feeling like you would never reach the top.

One of the best bits about our business is the relationship between Amanda, Christine, and Ngan. It is supportive, productive and really exciting to see the fruits of our labor. A typical expected challenge would be incorporating three different perspectives. It was a surprising delight to find that in creating our vision of 2S Design House, we discovered that our artistic preferences and values aligned.

The obstacles/challenges for 2S Design House is a common problem for everyone, Time. In addition to starting 2S Design House – Amanda, Christine and Ngan all have day jobs that keep the lights on. Additionally, Christine and Ngan also have their own individual brands AnnMann Designs and Ngan Vuong Designs that they are cultivating.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The 2S Design House vision is to create luxurious jewelry, accessories and art that invokes strength and courage in those who wear it.

We focus on fabricating jewelry from metal using different forms of Metalsmithing. Designers Christine and Ngan are both known for Avant Garde jewelry, and together at 2S Design House they are continuing that vision.

We are most proud that our individual work can come together seamlessly. Our collaborations feel effortless and elevate each other throughout the process.

What sets 2S Design House apart from other jewelry brands is the intention. The three of us believe in the vision that we are creating is one that unifies people, elevates the confidence and bravery in the one who wears it. We are not only looking to make jewelry but make a community of people who lift each other up, support each other and the environment. We plan on featuring our passions of mental health and climate change as a part of our brand. The work we will create will be designed with this intention and message behind it.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Collaboration – the action of working with someone to produce or create something.

We have big visions and big dreams, and we know that working towards and achieving these goals are better together. Collaboration is one of our main essential qualities to be successful together. In order for this to be successful, we have to come to the table with respect, integrity, vulnerability, and an openness to let the creative flow happen.
