Hidden Gems: Meet Igor Dobrianskyi of Dobriansky Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Igor Dobrianskyi.

Hi Igor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My entrepreneurial journey began in Ukraine, where I developed a passion for building businesses and finding innovative solutions to everyday problems.

In 2016, I founded SizeCar, a car rental marketplace that eventually expanded to 40 cities across Ukraine, connecting thousands of customers with rental vehicles. That experience taught me a lot about entrepreneurship, building partnerships, and what it takes to turn an idea into a real business.

In 2022, my life took an unexpected turn when the war in Ukraine forced my family and me to start a new chapter in the United States. We settled in South Florida, where I had to rebuild my professional network and establish myself in a completely new market.

Over the following years, I worked in the technology industry, primarily in SaaS sales, business development, and strategic partnerships. I had the opportunity to work with international companies, lead sales efforts across the Americas and the Caribbean, and gain valuable experience in the U.S. business environment.

But entrepreneurship has always been a big part of who I am. I knew I wanted to build something of my own again.

That’s how MyMonthlyCar was born.

I noticed an interesting problem in the automotive industry: dealerships often have vehicles sitting in their inventory for weeks or months, while customers struggle to find affordable, flexible transportation without committing to a long-term lease.

I saw an opportunity to connect these two sides through a technology-driven marketplace.

Today, I’m the Founder and CEO of MyMonthlyCar, a South Florida-based startup building a marketplace for flexible, month-to-month car rentals from local dealerships. Our mission is simple: help dealerships generate recurring revenue from their existing inventory while giving customers more freedom and flexibility.

One of the most exciting milestones in our journey was being selected for TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 in 2026, which gave us the opportunity to present MyMonthlyCar at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco and connect with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from around the world.

We’re still in the early stages, but we’re building something I genuinely believe can transform the way people access vehicles in America.

Looking back, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve built businesses, experienced setbacks, moved to a new country, and started over. But every chapter has taught me something valuable.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that opportunities rarely come at the perfect time. Sometimes you have to create them yourself.

South Florida has become home for my family and me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities, people, and entrepreneurial community that have supported me along the way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. My journey has been full of challenges, unexpected turns, and moments when I had to completely rethink my plans.

One of the biggest challenges came in 2022, when Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine changed everything. My family and I had to leave our home country and start a new life in the United States.

Moving to a new country is never easy, especially when you’re leaving behind a business network, professional relationships, and everything you’ve spent years building. Even though I had entrepreneurial experience, I quickly realized that succeeding in the U.S. meant learning an entirely new business environment, building relationships from scratch, and proving myself all over again.

There were plenty of moments of uncertainty. Balancing family responsibilities, building a career, and pursuing my entrepreneurial ambitions wasn’t always easy. But I never considered giving up.

Launching MyMonthlyCar brought an entirely different set of challenges.

The automotive industry is highly regulated, and building a marketplace that connects dealerships with customers requires much more than developing a website. We’ve had to navigate complex insurance requirements, legal and regulatory questions, dealership partnerships, and the challenges of introducing a completely new business model to a traditional industry.

Fundraising has also been a learning experience. As an early-stage founder, you have to convince people to believe in something that doesn’t fully exist yet. That takes persistence, preparation, and a willingness to hear “no” many times before finding the right people who share your vision.

What keeps me going is the belief that we’re solving a real problem and creating something meaningful.

Being selected for TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 in 2026 was an especially meaningful moment for me. Just a few years earlier, I had arrived in America and was starting over. Now I was in San Francisco, representing a startup I founded and sharing our vision with the global technology community.

That experience reminded me how far determination and persistence can take you.

I’ve learned that entrepreneurship isn’t about avoiding obstacles. It’s about being willing to face them, adapt, and keep moving forward.

I also believe that starting over can sometimes become your greatest advantage. It forces you to grow, think differently, and recognize opportunities you might otherwise have missed.

I’m still building my story, and I’m sure there will be many more challenges ahead. But today, I approach them with a lot more confidence, experience, and gratitude than I did when this journey began.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Alongside building my own companies, I’m also the Founder of Dobriansky Group, an independent strategic advisory firm based in South Florida.

Through Dobriansky Group, I focus on helping entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses explore new growth opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and navigate expansion into the U.S. market.

My background combines entrepreneurship, international business development, SaaS technology, and sales leadership across the Americas and the Caribbean. Having built my own businesses and worked with international technology companies, I’ve experienced both sides of the equation: the challenges founders face when building something from scratch and the complexities companies encounter when entering new markets.

My areas of focus include U.S. market entry, go-to-market strategy, strategic partnerships, business development, and commercial growth.

What makes my approach different is that I bring the perspective of an entrepreneur, not just an advisor. I understand what it’s like to build a company with limited resources, make difficult decisions, develop partnerships, and turn an ambitious idea into a practical business strategy.

I also understand the challenges of entering the American market as an international entrepreneur because I’ve experienced that journey personally.

One of the things I enjoy most is connecting people, ideas, and opportunities. Sometimes a single introduction, the right partnership, or a different perspective can completely change the direction of a business.

I’m particularly interested in working with ambitious founders and international companies that see the United States as their next major growth opportunity.

At the same time, I continue building MyMonthlyCar, my automotive technology startup, which was selected for TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 in 2026. Being actively involved in building a startup allows me to stay connected to the realities of entrepreneurship and bring that experience into my advisory work.

Ultimately, I want Dobriansky Group to be known for thoughtful strategic guidance, strong business relationships, and a genuine commitment to helping companies grow.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
When I think about my childhood in Ukraine, what comes to mind first isn’t one particular event, but the simple moments of growing up surrounded by family, friends, and people who cared about each other.

I grew up in a very different world from the one we live in today. We didn’t have smartphones, social media, or instant access to everything. Life felt simpler in many ways, and we learned to appreciate the little things.

Looking back, I think those early years helped shape my values. I learned the importance of family, friendship, hard work, and making the most of what you have.

Today, as a father raising my own daughter in the United States, I find myself appreciating those memories even more. I want her to grow up with that same sense of curiosity, kindness, and appreciation for the people around her.

It’s interesting how becoming a parent changes your perspective. The things that seemed ordinary when you were a child often become the memories you treasure most as an adult.
