Sports has given me the true meaning of family. Family to means Forget About Me I Love You!!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been so rewarding and worth it but it has not been easy. These women are trying to live a dream of playing the game they love so much. I want to give them everything with so little. We need all the love we can get here in KC!!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are the premier women’s football team in Kansas City, and our story is one of resilience, passion, and purpose.
Women’s football has been a part of Kansas City since 2002, and we are proud to carry that legacy forward. We have been building, competing, and representing this city for years, not because it has always been easy, but because we truly love this game and believe in what we are building.
Our players may not get paid to play, but they play like a million bucks. They show up with heart, discipline, pride, and a commitment to one another and to Kansas City. We are a team built from love, sacrifice, and the belief that something incredible can be created even when you start with very little.
What sets us apart is that we are about much more than football. We are building an empire, a brand, a family, and a legacy. We are women showing the world that we can do anything we put our minds and hearts into. We are athletes, leaders, mothers, daughters, sisters, professionals, and members of a community that we are incredibly proud to represent.
I am most proud of how far we have come. We came from nothing, and we are still here. We have made the playoffs in six of our seven seasons, and we continue to compete at a high level in the WNFC. But our greatest measure of success isn’t just what happens on the field. It is the impact we have on our players, our fans, our city, and the young women watching us and realizing that there is a place for them in this sport.
Our brand means everything to us. Our faith means everything to us. Our Glory Wings are ready to continue wrapping our arms around this community, but we cannot do it without our fans, supporters, partners, and Kansas City behind us.
We need your support to keep going—to keep building, keep competing, keep inspiring, and keep giving this city something to be proud of.
We invite you to come experience it for yourself. Join us for our first game on April 3, 2027, and feel the energy, the pride, the passion, and the vibe that makes this team special.
This is bigger than football.
This is Kansas City.
This is our community.
This is our legacy.
And we are just getting started.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I believe women’s football is going to grow in ways that people can hardly imagine right now.
Women’s sports are no longer being treated as an afterthought. The audience is here, the talent is here, and the demand is growing. We are already seeing increased media exposure, sponsorship opportunities, attendance, streaming, and fan engagement across women’s football. The WNFC’s recent growth is proof that people are ready to watch, support, and invest in women playing this game at the highest level.
I believe the biggest shift will be moving from simply asking people to “support women’s football” to recognizing it as a legitimate sports and entertainment business. Our athletes will have more opportunities to earn, build personal brands, secure sponsorships, and create careers around the sport. Teams will also have to become stronger businesses, with better fan experiences, stronger community relationships, innovative partnerships, and year-round engagement.
Digital media will play a huge role. Fans are discovering athletes and teams through social media, behind-the-scenes content, storytelling, and player personalities—not just through traditional broadcasts. That creates an incredible opportunity for teams like ours to tell our own stories and build relationships directly with our fans.
I also believe the pipeline for women in football is going to become much stronger. With the growth of girls’ flag football and more opportunities for women to enter tackle football, we are going to see more athletes grow up knowing that football is a sport they belong in.
For us, that future is personal.
We don’t just want to be around to watch women’s football grow—we want to help build it. We want the Kansas City Glory to be a team that represents our city, develops athletes, inspires young girls, creates opportunities, and shows what is possible when women are given the opportunity to compete, lead, and dream big.
The next 5–10 years are going to require more investment, more buy-in, and more people willing to believe in this sport before it reaches its full potential.
And that’s exactly why we are here.
We believe the future of women’s football is not something we should wait for.
