Hidden Gems: Meet Aviana Vonnette of Aviana’s Ascension

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aviana Vonnette.

Hi Aviana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My business, Aviana’s Ascension, got started from my need to heal myself which is why it has the name it has! I was around 19-years-old when my mom kicked me out of the house. This caused a snowball effect of all of my childhood trauma, insecurities, and negative thoughts coming to a head. I had spent a lot of my time prior to this trying to be a perfect child, make everyone else happy, and not cause any waves. My world came crumbling down. I felt like no amount of self-sacrifice would make me good enough for my mom. Obviously, this narrative isn’t true but I internalized the situation this way. This caused a lot of depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks, anxiety, and much more. My internal world was painful and chaotic, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would be a danger to myself.

This is what got me into my healing practices. It started with traditional talk therapy then bled into more spiritual practices like tarot, meditation, yoga, affirmations, chakra healing, sound healing, and crystal healing. It took a lot of time and commitment, but through these practices I was able to find the purpose in my pain and reclaim my power. I was truly amazed by this, I thought I was never going to be happy in life. I was so grateful for being able to turn my life around that I wanted to help others do the same, from there Aviana’s Ascension was born.

Aviana’s Ascension started out as Aviana’s Tarot with just tarot readings on YouTube. As I became more comfortable with these other healing modalities, I changed the name and added more services! Now, I understand my healing gifts entirely. I am an alchemy activator for women. I utilize all of my services to help women heal past pain and reclaim their power to create the life they truly desire. All of my services aide women in doing that in different ways! My alchemy ceremony and cord cutting ritual are deep practices that bring you face-to-face with your shadow, help you understand this aspect of you, and integrate this energy so you can take the lesson and leave the pain. My tarot readings are all about empowering people. I always tell people, I’m not here to predict your future. I believe everyone can create their own reality, so if I believe that why would anyone need me to predict things? I use tarot as a tool to help people shift their perspective or realize they’re more aligned than they think. Everything happens for you for a reason, I use tarot as a tool to help people realize this. I also offer a Tarot Tutor service and personalized guided meditations and affirmations!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course it hasn’t been a smooth road! It can be so hard to be an entrepreneur in any way. In the beginning, it was about trusting my own gifts. Once I started the journey, I knew it was the right thing for me. I just needed to trust that and trust the intuitive guidance I was giving.

Once I was able to fully stand in my gifts, I then had to trust that I would be successful. Again, I always believed in what I was doing. Believing in it and knowing it is something that will sustain you are two different things. This struggle had me compromising and overextending myself. I overworked myself by continuing to work full-time at my regular job and trying to pile on as many services and offerings as I could. It was sort of like throwing spaghetti at the wall. At this time, it was like I thought there was going to be one viral video or one offering that was going to catapult me into a space where I would then feel secure in the future. I now know that’s not how this works. This process really helped me understand that the universe doesn’t give you what you want, but what you are. I was moving from a place of doubt, fear, and over-giving. So, the universe was giving me opportunities that were rooted in that energy. The compromising showed up in other ways. This manifested itself by my saying yes to any and all events. As a business owner, you start out excited to have exposure and meet new people. As you grow your business, you have to start being picky so you can choose events and clients that actually align with what you want. I would let people book all willy nilly, this was rooted in the fear that if I said no I wouldn’t make enough money or that the opportunity would pass me by. This part of my journey was really about getting in alignment. Starting a business isn’t just about what you want to do, but how you want to do it. I had to trust that I didn’t need to sacrifice for success.

I’ve come a long way with my business and my faith in it. Nowadays, I’m learning to stand in that trust no matter what. When the funds get low, I just tell the universe to send me more clients and events. My challenge now is to maintain my discipline and motivation. I know it’s a matter of time now before I take over the healing community. I’ve always had big dreams for myself and my business. I’m finally in a place where I feel safe to let that journey unfold.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Aviana’s Ascension exists to guide those who feel lost, unseen, or stuck in the weight of their own pain toward reclaiming their power and self-worth. Using the tools that helped me heal — tarot, meditations, rituals, and energetic practices — I help people turn struggle into transformation, reconnect with their own strength, and rise into the version of themselves they’ve been waiting for. This is a space for courage, growth, and radical self-loyalty — where healing is both a practice and a path to empowerment.

I specialize in shadow work and alchemy activation. When people think of alchemy, a lot of people think of herbs and metals. I do alchemy with people’s trauma, blockages, and shadow self. I help people sit in the emotions and the versions of themselves that are truly causing the sabotaging in their life. Instead of pointing the finger at other people or external situations, I challenge them to point it at themselves. I believe that everything happens for a reason and our soul chooses specific situations to aide in our soul’s growth. Our higher self totally understand this, it’s the human self that struggles. We have a brain, an ego, our nervous system – all of them want to keep you safe. Part of that safety is creating narratives or picking up patterns that make you feel safe. That works for a time but eventually you have to process the trauma, that’s what I’m here for!

What sets me apart from others is that I don’t just help you heal your trauma, I help you completely reclaim your power from it and turn your pain into purpose. I break down the root cause of issues. I help you understand how your pain was really a gift. I always make sure my clients understand that we’re not in heaven and the universe doesn’t send things to you just to watch you hurt. I emphasize that we’re not in heaven because a lot of people struggle with how things “should” be versus what actually happened. Earth is a school for souls, Things aren’t meant to be perfect or easy here, the more we can accept that the easier it will be to find the gifts in pain. The universe sends us things that are meant to challenge us to help us become who we are meant to be. I always use Paris Hilton as an example. She was sent to a horrific school that abused her in many ways. Obviously no one, especially a child, deserves to go through something like that. She went through it and found purpose in it by advocating for those that don’t have a voice. She actually got the school shut down this year! Again, it’s not fair she had to endure that or that any other child would, but it happened. She could either let it consume her and stay a victim, or she can turn that pain into passion and purpose. That’s what I’m here to do.

People don’t always come to me about pain pain, though. Sometimes they struggle with believing in themselves, self-worth, self-love, struggle with romantic love, struggle with anxiety, overworking – the list goes on. People don’t realize how much of these things are rooted in fear and doubt. I help people see through the fog of their own limiting beliefs. Of course, there’s always a root cause. I sit with people and help them understand where the fear or limiting beliefs come from, then I lift them up and help them see their power.

I have lots of offerings to share with the world, all of which involve alchemy activation and shadow work in one way or another. I have tarot readings, I do these one-on-one and I offer collective readings on my YouTube channel. I also go live on TikTok and YouTube at least once a week to pull cards for people for free! Follow me over there to check it out! If you want to learn tarot yourself, I have a tarot tutor service where we spend an hour together going over whatever aspect of tarot you desire! I have a cord cutting ritual that is very similar to the traditional practice. I just add in a process where we reflect on what you’ve learned, how you got there, and how you can stand in your power so that situation never happens again. My alchemy ceremony is a very co-creative experience between my clients and I. I utilize breath work and body scans to help my clients get clear on where/what emotional blockages they’re holding onto. This ceremony involves visualization, affirmations, sound healing, whatever my client needs! It’s a very unique experience for every client, every session. I have a combo offering where you can get a reading and an alchemy ceremony. I also offer personalized guided meditations and affirmations. I make these videos for my YouTube channel and thought it would be fun to offer for those that enjoy them but want something more specific. I also do online ceremonies once a month with different themes. They always begin with the importance of the theme, most of the ceremony is spent in meditation, then we close with a collective reading.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
This is such a cute question! I’ve actually been connecting with my inner child a lot. When I was younger, I was a bit of a diva. Not in a bratty way, but in a dancing and dressing up way. My mom always tells the story of when I was little and she was looking for me. She found me dancing in the headlights of my great-grandpa’s car. I would pose for pictures and be sassy with my siblings. I’m not sure when the shift happened, but the diva died down. Most of my childhood I remember being extremely shy. I would barely speak, I would stay to myself, and do my best to stay under the radar.

I’m not sure if this was because there were so many kids or maybe I felt the instability growing up and just tried to keep my head down. The why behind the shy isn’t that important to me at the end of the day. I think being shy and in my own little world was a part of what has helped me become who I am today. We moved a ton when I was little, at one point I had moved three schools in one school year. That was really hard for me and since I was so shy I struggled to make friends. Since I didn’t have others to connect with, I really got to know myself. I think moving and being shy really has helped me stand in my own truth and not need to go along with the crowd.

Music was always so important to me. I’m not a musician but I love listening to music, I went to concerts and festivals all the time when I was younger. I would go to raves a lot in high school and I think being exposed to that is what got me interested in spirituality and seeing everything as one. I was also very interested in painting, I still paint today. I tried to sell my paintings on my site but then someone tried to scam me so we’ll see about that!

I did spend a lot of time babysitting and taking care of the house. As I said earlier I have a ton of siblings, my mom was a single mom so she would work and my sisters and I were responsible for the other kids, cooking, cleaning. Because of all the responsibility at home I didn’t participate in any extracurricular activities at school. I did enjoy spending time outside in nature or playing with the neighborhood kids.

I was extremely close with my great-grandpa growing up. It was devastating for me when he passed and that definitely started my relationship with depression. I still struggle with missing him sometimes but I’ve learned a lot from that relationship and the grief I experienced with it.
