Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Maxey.
Hi Isaiah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Good question. My story runs a lot deeper than what people see. I’m living my comeback story.
At 15 years old, I was facing a 15 year prison sentence. I ended up receiving 5 years and served my time. After I got out, I was still headed down the wrong path. From 2019 to 2022, I was living for the streets instead of my future.
Everything changed in May 2022 when my mentor and best friend, Michael Rehard, was killed in a bar shooting. Witnessing that took a huge toll on me mentally. Then, in October 2022, I made the decision to change my life. I decided it was time to start living for myself and my kids instead of the streets.
In 2023, I enrolled in college to study Criminal Justice. In early 2024, I started working with the Jegna klub, an organization that helps teenagers by teaching life skills and digital multimedia. Shout out to Moses for the incredible work he’s doing over there. That’s where I discovered my passion for the camera.
Later in 2024, I met LB, the owner of FiveOne Vision Films. After meeting him, I bought my own camera and started taking pictures of anything and everything. I reached out to Phantom Pesos, and it’s been history ever since.
Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing people who’ve poured knowledge into me. Even today, I can still call LB whenever I need advice, and he’s always willing to help.
Since launching LoudMouth Entertainment in March 2026, we’ve been growing rapidly. Seeing so many people tap in and support the content we’re creating has been an incredible feeling. The love I’ve received is something I’ll never take for granted.
I couldn’t imagine building this anywhere other than my hometown of Kansas City, Kansas. This city made me, and now I’m determined to give something back by creating opportunities, telling stories, and showing people that your past doesn’t have to define your future.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. I was on probation for five years, and that restricted me from doing a lot of things. The temptations from my past life still pop up from time to time, but I’ve learned to overlook them and keep moving forward.
There have been projects that were difficult or shoots where I made mistakes. When that happens, I remind myself that there’s always room for improvement and that every problem has a solution. You can’t give up the first time or even after a few failures and expect success to just happen. Growth comes from staying consistent and learning from your mistakes.
I think my biggest obstacle has been my past. Some people still look at me through that lens, and honestly, I understand why. All I can do is keep proving through my actions that I’m not that person anymore. Every day is another opportunity to show how much I’ve grown.
We’ve been impressed with LoudMouth Entertainments LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LoudMouth Entertainments LLC is a Kansas City based media company founded in March 2026 with a mission to give independent artists, creators, and local businesses a platform to be seen and heard. What started as a vision has quickly grown into a respected brand, reaching hundreds of thousands of people across multiple social media platforms.
LoudMouth specializes in artist interviews, live performances, music video promotion, event coverage, photography, videography, and original digital content that highlights talent from Kansas City and beyond. The company is focused on creating opportunities for independent artists who may not have access to traditional media outlets.
Since its launch, LoudMouth has built a rapidly growing audience, expanded across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and established relationships with radio stations and media partners outside of Kansas City. The company has also helped artists gain exposure through radi and online platforms.
More than just a media company, LoudMouth Entertainments LLC is about changing the narrative. Built on the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity, the company is committed to showcasing authentic talent, supporting the local creative community, and creating a platform where hard work and consistency are recognized. The goal is to continue expanding while putting Kansas City talent on a larger stage and creating lasting opportunities for the next generation of artists and entrepreneurs.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
think we take risks every day. Anything new in life is a risk because we’re unfamiliar with it. I think videographers and photographers take risks every time we buy new equipment. We can go through a dead period where nobody is booking, and we’ve already invested the money, so now we have to wait for that return.
Regardless, my saying is: I’m always going to take a risk on myself before I take a risk on the UKNOWN.
