Exploring Life & Business with Enase Jean-Baptiste of Nase inclusive event KC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Enase Jean-Baptiste.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are a husband-and-wife duo. Our journey into wedding planning and design began with a passion for creating beautiful, meaningful celebrations and just $500. We didn’t have a large budget, an established name, or endless resources. What we did have is creativity, determination, faith, and a clear vision.

We started small, using what we had wisely and reinvesting in our business whenever possible. Through hard work, hands-on experience, referrals, and the trust of my clients, we continued to grow, refine our skills, and expand our services.

Today, we have the privilege of transforming spaces and helping couples bring their dream weddings to life. Our journey is proof that you don’t need to start with everything you simply need the courage to begin, remain consistent, and build with what is already in your hands.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Starting our wedding planning and design business with only $500 meant we had to be creative, resourceful, and very intentional with every decision. In the beginning, we faced limited inventory, financial challenges, long hours, and the pressure of building a name without a large team or established client base.

We also had to learn how to price our services properly, set boundaries, manage client expectations, and balance the creative side of the business with contracts, budgets, logistics, and unexpected last-minute changes. There were moments of doubt and times when growth felt slow, but every challenge taught us something valuable.

Those struggles helped us become more resilient, disciplined, and confident. Our journey has taught us that success is not always a straight path it requires faith, patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep learning and moving forward.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our wedding planning and design business specializes in creating elegant, personalized, and unforgettable celebrations. We offer wedding planning, event design, décor, rentals, and coordination services, helping couples from the early planning stages through the final moments of their wedding day. We are especially known for transforming ordinary spaces into luxurious environments through thoughtful details, cohesive designs, beautiful tablescapes, custom backdrops, floral styling, and carefully selected décor.

What sets us apart is our commitment to making every celebration reflect the couple’s unique personality and love story. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to listen, understand each client’s vision, and create an experience that feels personal, intentional, and memorable. We also understand that beautiful events can be created at different budget levels, so we work creatively and resourcefully to deliver the greatest possible impact.

We want readers to know that our brand represents more than beautiful décor. We provide care, professionalism, attention to detail, and peace of mind. Whether a couple needs complete wedding planning, day-of coordination, event design, décor rentals, or a customized service package, our goal is to make the process less stressful and the celebration truly unforgettable.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next five to ten years, we believe the wedding and event industry will become even more personalized, experience-driven, and technology-focused. Couples are moving away from traditions that do not represent them and choosing celebrations that genuinely reflect their personalities, cultures, values, and love stories.

We will continue to see growth in intimate weddings, destination celebrations, multi-day events, bold designs, interactive guest experiences, and culturally blended ceremonies. Technology including artificial intelligence, digital planning tools, virtual consultations, and immersive design previews will also make planning more efficient and allow clients to visualize their weddings before the event day.

Sustainability will become increasingly important, with more couples choosing reusable décor, locally sourced products, and intentional designs that reduce waste. However, even as technology and trends evolve, personal connection will remain essential. Couples will continue to value professionals who listen, understand their vision, manage the details, and make them feel cared for.

For our brand, the goal is to continue evolving while remaining rooted in creativity, excellence, and personalized service. We want to embrace innovation without losing the warmth and attention to detail that make every celebration meaningful.
