Hi Chef Ang, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
People often ask me how I manage to wear so many hats, but the truth is, every chapter of my journey has been connected by one purpose: serving people.
I’m the founder of Vision Enterprises Unlimited, where I have the privilege of creating memorable culinary experiences as Chef Ang, as well as helping people explore the world through curated travel experiences. Alongside that, I founded Women Entrepreneurs & Influencers (W.E.I.), an organization dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and empowering women in business while encouraging collaboration over competition. Professionally, I also serve in healthcare leadership, where I enjoy developing leaders and helping teams grow.
None of this happened overnight. My journey has been built one opportunity, one challenge, and one act of faith at a time. I’ve learned that success isn’t about following a perfectly straight path—it’s about being willing to pivot when God redirects your steps. Some of my greatest opportunities came from simply saying “yes” when I felt called to serve.
Food has always been one of my greatest passions because it brings people together. Whether I’m catering an intimate dinner, leading a cooking experience, or preparing a meal for hundreds, my goal is the same: to create moments that people remember. Receiving the Kansas City People’s Choice Award for Best Chef was an incredible honor because it represented years of hard work, consistency, and the support of a community that has believed in me.
Beyond business, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for others. Through W.E.I., I’ve watched women build meaningful relationships, collaborate, grow their businesses, and gain confidence in pursuing their purpose. Those moments are just as rewarding to me as any personal achievement.
If there’s one thing I hope people take away from my story, it’s that your purpose doesn’t have to fit into one box. You can lead, serve, create, mentor, and inspire—all while remaining true to who God created you to be. I simply strive to use every gift I’ve been given to make a positive impact in my community, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, and honestly, I wouldn’t expect it to be. Every meaningful journey comes with obstacles. I’ve experienced moments of self-doubt, financial challenges, balancing multiple responsibilities, and learning how to navigate entrepreneurship while also maintaining a full-time career in healthcare leadership.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success requires sacrifice. There were seasons where I worked long hours, invested back into my businesses instead of myself, and had to make difficult decisions that no one else saw. Building something meaningful takes consistency, even when no one is applauding you.
I’ve also learned that not everyone will understand your vision—and that’s okay. As an entrepreneur, you have to believe in your purpose before anyone else does. There were times when opportunities didn’t work out the way I hoped, partnerships didn’t align, or plans had to change. Instead of viewing those moments as failures, I’ve learned to see them as redirections.
Perhaps my greatest challenge has been learning the art of the pivot. Life and business are constantly evolving, and I’ve realized that being adaptable is one of the greatest strengths an entrepreneur can have. Every setback has taught me something valuable, strengthened my faith, and prepared me for the next opportunity.
Through it all, my relationship with God has been my foundation. My faith has reminded me that delays are not denials and that every closed door has made room for something greater. Looking back now, I’m grateful for the challenges because they developed the resilience, wisdom, and character that have allowed me to serve others more effectively today.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth every lesson.

At my core, I’m a servant leader, entrepreneur, and visionary. While many people know me as Chef Ang—the recent recipient of the Kansas City People’s Choice Award for Best Chef—I see my work as much bigger than preparing great food. Everything I do is centered around creating meaningful experiences and helping people thrive.
As the founder of Vision Enterprises Unlimited, I specialize in curated culinary experiences, catering, private chef services, and interactive cooking events that bring people together. Through Vision Food & Travel Tours, I help clients experience the world with thoughtfully planned group and custom travel experiences. I’m also the founder of Women Entrepreneurs & Influencers (W.E.I.), an organization dedicated to celebrating women in business, fostering authentic connections, and promoting collaboration over competition. In addition, I serve in healthcare leadership, where I have the privilege of mentoring and developing future leaders.
What I’m most proud of isn’t an award or title—it’s the impact. Seeing women build confidence through W.E.I., watching clients create lifelong memories through travel, celebrating around a table I’ve prepared, or helping a leader discover their potential—those are the moments that remind me I’m walking in my purpose.
I believe what sets me apart is that I don’t just build businesses—I build relationships. Whether someone hires me as a chef, trusts me to plan their dream vacation, attends a W.E.I. event, or works alongside me professionally, I want them to leave feeling seen, valued, and inspired.
I also lead with faith. My relationship with God influences how I serve, how I make decisions, and how I treat people. Excellence is important to me, but so is integrity, authenticity, and giving back to my community.
If there’s one thing I hope people remember about me, it’s not simply that I was a chef, entrepreneur, or leader. I hope they remember that I used my gifts to create opportunities, bring people together, and leave every person and every space better than I found it.

If there’s one message I’d like to leave with your readers, it’s this: don’t be afraid to pivot. We often think our purpose has to fit neatly into one title or one career path, but sometimes God calls us to serve in multiple ways. I’ve learned that your gifts can evolve, your vision can expand, and it’s okay to embrace every chapter of your journey.
I also want to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to stop waiting for the “perfect” time. Start with what you have, where you are. You don’t need perfection—you need consistency, faith, and the willingness to keep showing up. There will be setbacks, but every challenge has the potential to become part of your testimony if you refuse to quit.
Finally, never underestimate the power of community. One of the greatest joys of my journey has been watching people collaborate, celebrate one another, and grow together. We accomplish so much more when we choose collaboration over competition and genuinely want to see others succeed.
I’m incredibly grateful to my family, friends, clients, colleagues, and the Kansas City community for believing in me throughout the years. Every opportunity, every relationship, and every milestone—including being named the Kansas City People’s Choice Award winner for Best Chef—has been a reminder that none of us succeeds alone.
My prayer is that whatever gifts God has placed inside of you, you have the courage to use them. The world doesn’t need another copy of someone else—it needs the unique purpose that only you were created to fulfill.
