Hi Renee , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

Jesse James Antique Mall is a family owned and operated business, located at Exit 53 at I-29 and Business Highway 71 just north of St. Joseph, MO. The mall was opened by Savannah, MO couple Kevin and Angie Hummer back in the Fall of 1997.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Jesse James Antique Mall is one of the region’s largest antique malls with over 160 dealers with 110 booths and 160 showcases, and nearly 20,000 square feet under one roof. The mall has consistently stayed at capacity and met our sales goals each year since opening 29 years ago. “Since the beginning, we have strived to keep the high integrity of a true antique and collectible mall,” owner Kevin Hummer stated. “Our dealers search estate sales, garage sales, and flea markets across the country to bring in highly sought after collectibles and unique items. You’re sure to find the treasure you are hunting for.”
We’ve been impressed with Jesse James Antique Mall, Rusty Chandelier and RJ Promotions, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Jesse James Antique Mall features antiques and collectibles from 160 unique dealers.
The Rusty Chandelier is our sister store next door, a family owned & operated business since 1998. With two floors of great shopping, we are your destination for unique treasures! Our store offers an eclectic mix of repurposed, vintage and one-of-a-kind gifts and decor, created by our boutique owners – as well as lots of new merchandise. We offer everything from large furniture and statement pieces to small items such as handcrafted soaps, candles, jewelry and everything in between. Our inventory changes daily, so frequent visits are a must. Plus checkout our Outdoor Store for more rustic relics. Be sure to make us your destination on your next “treasure hunt”.

RJ Promotions, Inc. is our event management company with offices above the Rusty Chandelier. We host consumer shows throughout the Midwest – featuring three large shows at the Kansas City Convention Center, Bartle Hall: the Kansas City Boat & Fishing Show January 7-10, 2027, the Missouri Big Buck & Hunting Show February 5-7, 2027, and the Kansas City Home & Flower Show March 5-7, 2027. All companies are owned by Kevin & Angie Hummer.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Kevin and Angie Hummer, married in 1987, both grew up on farms in rural Andrew County, just outside Savannah, MO in Northwest Missouri. They both have a love of antiques and collecting. They started selling wares at Flea Markets in the 80’s, soon after they launched annual Antique Shows in the region – which has grown into one of the largest consumer show companies in the country.
