Life & Work with Andy Mittleman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Mittleman.

Andy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I “Andy Mittleman” started working on music when I was around 7 or 8 years old.
I would practice and sing for many hours every single day.

We moved a lot when I was a kid until I turned 14 and ended up in a town called Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
I was a freshman in a town that I didn’t even know existed until that point.
Within a few short days of going to school there,
I met several people that showed me some of the best music that to this day,
I continued to progress and gained what is now, my voice.
Moving to the Midwest changed my life.

It took until I was around 21 when I met my first producer and then I stepped on stage.
I stopped playing shows after my mother had passed away from A.L.S.
I stepped back on December 5th and headlined Hoodstock 3.0 In Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I have been avid in the music scene since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The number one thing that was the biggest hurdle to overcome was the loss of my mother.
She inspired me to sing and progress within music.
It has been difficult and there are times that I struggle.
However, it has also been the biggest inspiration for me to succeed.
I have been on quite a few labels, and they all helped me along the road to get to where I am at.
I can’t thank them all enough.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have studied and practiced mixing and mastering for around 10 years.
I am self-taught.
Learning how to produce music has been a fun experience.
When you listen to music, you truly find yourself.
It has led me to the position where I am the assistant manager at an afterhours club in O.K.C.
In 2023 I played the campground stage at Rocklahoma, I went on tour in 2024.
I recently opened for Kottonmouth Kings, A Killers Confession, Kung Fu Vampire, Ra, and Twist It.
I am comfortable in my ability to be the best that I can be on stage and off.
I believe the thing that sets me apart is that I know success will happen if I continue.
Success happens every day.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I want to say Grim Reality Entertainment truly helped me to get out of my shell and I’m so thankful for the love and devotion that they had shown me and still show me.

I truly appreciate and respect Had Enough as he has been a big staple on the map bringing artists together for many of shows that I have been on and as well for taking me on my first tour.
I have since joined with Carnage Crew,
I am thankful for every member.

My close friends have been the first ones to listen in and show support.

I want to give a special shout out to my fiancé, Lauren aka D.J. Stella Vega as she has had my back and shown me that you should never give up or alter your vision for someone else to accept who you are.

A big shout to Connor aka RiotTheory for having me on his label Forged Arts.
Epic credit for Bradley aka Anti Christ from Basses Loaded and all the members.
That has been the first band I performed with on stage.

Theres so many that I would give credit to, just know that I do.

Above all, I wish my mother was still alive as she was the one that taught me to sing and raised me.
I will never forget.
