Check Out Anesha Johnson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anesha Johnson.

Hi Anesha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since high school I was overweight. I didn’t realize just how bad things were until adulthood and after having kids just how bad things really was for me. Long story short I developed Type 2 diabetes and that’s what shifted things for me. I began changing the way I ate realizing that food is fuel for the body and exercising felt really good! My obsession to see the changes in my body and health grew from there! Now 11yrs later I’ve accomplished being a Certified personal trainer, nutritionist, and fitness coach who’s now dabbling in the world of Bodybuilding! I still love what I do all these years later and the connections and friendships I’ve gained along the way make it all worth it!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life in general comes with it’s own set of challenges and struggles but, in this field you will have some of the hardest struggles! For instance, when you make a conscious decision to do something about your health, things are thrown at you and if you’re not careful, you’ll give up!! For me, food has always been my biggest issue and is still to this day! No one wants to be told they shouldn’t eat certain things when all we want to do is binge on burgers and fries, pizza or sweets!! No one wants to hear how diet and exercise together can increase our quality of life all because we’re comfortable with enjoying the bad things and want things to happen without putting in the hard work!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As I’ve said before I’m a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, and fitness coach who’s crossing over into the bodybuilding world. I now also run a gym! My goals and accomplishments have all come together over the years. I’m most proud of my new role as management for a popular gym! I’m very personable, understanding, funny, genuine, passionate and ,caring person but, also firm and a no nonsense type of person when it comes to my business and craft!

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck! My faith and obedience has carried me this far!! I remain humble and lean on Christ through it all!
