Community Highlights: Meet Kelli Alldredge of Chicken N Pickle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Alldredge.

Hi Kelli, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Chicken N Pickle started with a simple idea: create a place where people could connect through great food, games, and the growing sport of pickleball. We opened our first location in North Kansas City in 2015, and since then we’ve expanded across the country while staying true to our purpose of fostering connection and positively impacting the communities we serve.

As President, it’s been incredibly rewarding to help grow the brand while keeping our focus on people. Whether someone joins us for a meal, a community fundraiser, or a game of pickleball, our goal is always the same—to create memorable experiences that bring people together!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any growing business, we’ve faced our share of challenges. Expanding into new markets while maintaining the culture and community focus that makes Chicken N Pickle special takes a lot of intention. We also navigated the uncertainty of the pandemic, which reinforced the importance of being adaptable and staying committed to our team, our guests, and the communities we serve. Those experiences have made us stronger and continue to shape how we grow.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Chicken N Pickle?
Chicken N Pickle is an indoor/outdoor entertainment destination that brings people together through chef-driven food, craft beverages, backyard games and pickleball. While we’re known for pickleball, we’re really in the business of creating meaningful connections and building stronger communities!

What sets us apart is our purpose-driven approach. Every location is designed to be a gathering place where families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors can connect, and we’re deeply committed to giving back through nonprofit partnerships, community events, and local outreach. I’m most proud that we’ve built a brand where people don’t just come to play—they come to celebrate, support their communities, and make lasting memories.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the impact we have on people. Of course, business growth is important, but lasting success comes from building a strong team, creating meaningful experiences for our guests, and making a positive difference in the communities we serve. If people leave more connected than when they arrived, and our team is proud of the work they’re doing, that’s success to me.
