Hi Valorie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Sincerely VK Boutique nearly nine years ago with a passion for helping women feel beautiful and confident through makeup and hair. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a business built through referrals, social media, and genuine relationships with my clients. Over the years, I’ve specialized in professional makeup artistry, wig installations, and premium hair extensions, while focusing on creating a luxury experience from start to finish.
In 2024, I relocated from Kansas City to New York City to expand my business and challenge myself in one of the most competitive beauty markets in the world. Since then, I’ve continued growing Sincerely VK Boutique by serving clients, teaching one-on-one makeup classes, and sharing beauty education online.
Today, my mission is to help women feel confident, polished, and empowered. As the brand continues to grow, I’m expanding beyond services into beauty products, including my upcoming signature makeup brush collection. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited for everything that’s still to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change the journey because every challenge has shaped the business I have today. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced slow seasons, financial uncertainty, and the pressure of wearing every hat, from marketing and customer service to inventory, bookkeeping, and content creation. Building a brand while balancing everyday life has taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of staying consistent even when results aren’t immediate.
Relocating from Kansas City to New York City was one of the biggest leaps of faith I’ve taken. Starting over in a new city meant rebuilding my clientele, networking from scratch, and proving myself in an incredibly competitive market. It wasn’t always easy, but it pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.
One lesson I’ve learned is that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles. It’s about continuing to show up through them. Every challenge has strengthened Sincerely VK Boutique and reinforced my mission to create a brand that empowers women through beauty, confidence, and education.

Sincerely VK Boutique is a luxury beauty brand specializing in professional makeup artistry, premium hair extensions, and custom wig services. My goal has always been to create more than just a beauty appointment. I want every client to leave feeling confident, elevated, and like the best version of themselves.
What sets Sincerely VK Boutique apart is the experience. From the moment a client books to the final reveal, I focus on professionalism, education, and attention to detail. I believe beauty should feel empowering, whether someone is preparing for a special event, investing in quality hair, or learning how to recreate their own makeup through one-on-one lessons.
One of the things I’m most proud of is building a brand that has grown through trust, consistency, and genuine relationships with my clients. Many of my clients become repeat clients because they know they’ll receive personalized service and quality every time.

I love embracing my own “It Girl” era while helping create more It Girls through beauty, confidence, education, and self-expression. My goal is for every woman who interacts with Sincerely VK Boutique to leave feeling more confident than when she arrived.
As the brand continues to grow, I’m expanding beyond services into beauty education and product development. My upcoming signature makeup brush collection is designed to make professional-quality tools accessible for both everyday beauty lovers and aspiring artists. My vision is for Sincerely VK Boutique to become a trusted beauty destination and an It Girl community where women are inspired to invest in themselves, embrace their individuality, and show up confidently in every room.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve always believed that growth requires taking calculated risks. I don’t make decisions recklessly, but I also know that staying comfortable rarely leads to extraordinary opportunities. Every major step I’ve taken in my career has involved stepping into the unknown with faith, preparation, and a willingness to work hard.
One of the biggest risks I took was relocating from Kansas City to New York City to grow Sincerely VK Boutique. Leaving behind an established clientele and starting over in one of the most competitive beauty markets in the world was both exciting and intimidating. There were no guarantees, but I knew that if I wanted to build the brand I envisioned, I had to be willing to bet on myself.
More recently, I’ve invested in expanding Sincerely VK Boutique beyond services by developing my own signature makeup brush collection. Launching a product line requires significant time, planning, and financial investment, but I see it as an investment in the future of my brand.
I’ve learned that the biggest risk isn’t failing. It’s allowing fear to keep you from pursuing the life and business you’re capable of building. Every risk I’ve taken has helped shape me into a stronger entrepreneur, and I hope it inspires other women to trust themselves enough to chase the vision they’ve been given.
