Daily Inspiration: Meet Stacy Goree

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Goree.

Hi Stacy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurship and building businesses that solve real problems. Over the years, I’ve launched several ventures across different industries, including a wholesale shoe and hair business, an event planning company, and later a skincare brand. Earlier this year, I sold my skincare company to pursue a new opportunity that aligned more closely with my long-term vision.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to network with professionals from a wide range of industries, including my work in high fashion. Those experiences introduced me to many successful individuals and families who shared a common challenge: finding reliable, high-quality household staff. Whether they were looking for nannies, house managers, housekeepers, personal assistants, or estate staff, many expressed how difficult it was to find trustworthy professionals through traditional hiring methods.

Seeing that gap in the market inspired me to create Elowen Household Staffing. My goal was to build a company that makes the hiring process seamless while connecting families with exceptional household professionals they can trust. We focus on thoughtful placements that match not only the required skills and experience, but also the personalities and lifestyles of the families we serve.

Although Elowen is still a young company, I’m excited about its growth and the opportunity to redefine what personalized household staffing can look like. For me, entrepreneurship has always been about identifying unmet needs and creating businesses that provide meaningful solutions, and Elowen is a reflection of that philosophy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any entrepreneurial journey, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. While launching Elowen Household Staffing has been made easier by the relationships and professional network I’ve built over the years, my overall journey as an entrepreneur has taught me a great deal about resilience.

When I first started building businesses, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to market effectively and identify the right audience. Having a great idea is only part of the equation—you also have to reach the people who truly need your services. It took time, trial and error, and a willingness to adapt before I found the right strategies.

Those early experiences ultimately prepared me for launching Elowen. They taught me how to build trust, create meaningful relationships, and understand the importance of serving a clearly defined market. Because of those lessons, I was able to approach this business with a stronger foundation and greater confidence.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Elowen Household Staffing, we specialize in connecting exceptional household professionals with families who value trust, discretion, and long-term relationships. We recruit for a wide range of private household positions, including nannies, house managers, personal assistants, executive housekeepers, estate managers, private chefs, butlers, and grounds staff.

What sets us apart is our commitment to personalized placements. We understand that every household operates differently, so we take the time to understand each family’s lifestyle, values, and expectations before recommending candidates. We believe the right placement is about more than experience—it’s about finding someone who genuinely fits the culture of the household.

I’m most proud of building a company that emphasizes quality over quantity. Rather than simply filling positions, our goal is to create lasting partnerships that benefit both our clients and the professionals we represent. We strive to make the hiring process seamless, confidential, and highly tailored to each family’s unique needs.

Above all, Elowen was built on the belief that exceptional service begins with exceptional people. By focusing on thoughtful, relationship-driven placements, we’re helping families build trusted teams that allow their households to run more efficiently and with greater peace of mind.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to start before you feel completely ready. Many aspiring entrepreneurs spend too much time waiting for the perfect moment, but the truth is that you’ll learn far more by taking action than by planning indefinitely.

I also encourage people to build businesses that solve real problems rather than simply following trends. When you create something that genuinely improves people’s lives or makes their lives easier, growth becomes much more sustainable.

Finally, don’t be discouraged by setbacks. Every business owner experiences challenges, whether it’s finding customers, refining a business model, or learning how to market effectively. Those experiences aren’t failures—they’re opportunities to learn and improve.

Looking back, I wish I had understood that success doesn’t happen overnight. Building a business takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to adapt. Every challenge I faced taught me something valuable, and those lessons have made me a stronger entrepreneur today.
