Hi Jenna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Align Collection began with the desire to create truly clean, effective personal care products for myself and my family. I started making products in my own kitchen because I couldn’t find products that checked all the boxes; clean ingredients, plastic free packaging, effective formulas and a price that felt accessible. My friends and family started asking for products and six months ago I decided I was ready to turn this passion into Align Collection. Today, every product is still handcrafted by me in small batches from my home using thoughtfully sourced, high quality ingredients like grass-fed and finished beef tallow from suet fat, botanical oils, and pure essential oils.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I started Align Collection with no previous business experience and honestly had to learn everything from the ground up- how to start a business in the first place, branding, packaging, shipping. It was definitely overwhelming at times, but i’m figuring it out. Product formulation has also been a constant learning process. Creating effective, natural products takes a lot of trial and error, testing different ingredients, refining formulas, and making sure every product performs as it should before reaching customers. Every obstacle has taught me something and shaped Align Collection into what it is today
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Align Collection specializes in handcrafted tallow- based personal care products made with high-quality, natural ingredients. My focus is creating products that simplify low-tox living by offering effective alternatives to chemical filled products- all in completely plastic free packaging.
I am most proud that every product is made by hand with intention and care. Building Align Collection from the ground up with no business experience has been incredibly rewarding. Knowing that people trust my products for themselves and their families is something i’ll never take for granted.
What sets Align Collection apart is the combination of quality, affordability, and sustainability. I don’t want people to have to choose between clean ingredients and a reasonable price. I believe plastic-free, natural personal care should be accessible. Every small swap someone makes, whether a deodorant tube to a lotion stick, helps reduce plastic waste and i’m proud to be part of making those changes easier.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned that not every idea or product is going to be a good fit, or always turn out the way you hope. It’s part of the process. Building a business requires being willing to adapt and pivot when something isn’t working. I’ve learned to stay flexible and focus on the bigger vision.
