Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeevan Dhaker.
Hi Jeevan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in a small town in Rajasthan, India. From a young age, I always felt that I wanted to do something different and meaningful with my life. When I was 12 years old, I left my family home to continue my education in another city. Over the years, I moved to different places for school and eventually completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Geology in Jaipur.
Even though I studied science, I always had a strong interest in creativity, performance, and storytelling. After completing my education, I made the difficult decision to change my career and follow a more creative path. I began working as an actor, model, filmmaker, and content creator. The transition was not easy, but it gave me the freedom to express myself and connect with people through meaningful stories.
In 2019, I moved to the United States (Kansas City) and started building a new life and career in a different country, culture, and language. I received acting and improv training and began working in theater, films, commercials, modeling projects, and brand collaborations.
As I gained more experience, I realized that storytelling was at the center of everything I enjoyed doing. That is what inspired me to build Jeevan Productions. The company helps individuals, businesses, and organizations bring their ideas to life through photography, videography, social media content, digital marketing, website, and event experiences.
Today, I live in San Diego and continue to work as an actor, producer, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur. Jeevan Productions has grown into a team of talented people who work together to create meaningful and visually engaging content.
My journey has not always been easy, but every challenge has helped me grow. I am grateful for how far I have come, and I believe this is only the beginning. My goal is to continue telling authentic stories, supporting other artists and businesses, and creating work that brings people together.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. One of my first challenges was leaving my family home at a young age so I could continue my education and pursue a different future. Moving from a small town to larger cities also pushed me far outside my comfort zone and taught me how to adapt, become independent, and keep going even when things felt uncertain.
Another major challenge was changing careers. I studied Geology, but later decided to follow my passion for acting, filmmaking, and storytelling. Starting over in a completely different field required a lot of patience, training, and confidence.
Moving to the United States in 2019 brought another set of challenges. I had to adjust to a new country, culture, and language while also trying to build a creative career from the beginning. Learning how the industry works, finding the right opportunities, and standing out in a competitive market have all taken time.
Building Jeevan Productions has also required persistence. Like many small businesses, we have faced challenges with growth, finding the right clients, managing a team, and building trust in a competitive industry. However, every challenge has taught me something valuable. I have learned to be patient, stay consistent, keep improving, and trust the process.
The journey is still ongoing, but I am proud of how far my team and I have come and excited about what is ahead.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Jeevan Productions began about five years ago with a passion for photography, videography, and storytelling. In the beginning, I offered complimentary shoots for birthdays, events, and portraits so I could gain experience, build a portfolio, and introduce my work to the community. Over time, people began noticing the quality and personal touch behind my work, which led to more professional opportunities.
What started as a small photography and videography business has now grown into a full-service creative agency. Today, Jeevan Productions offers photography, videography, branding, social media marketing, website design, SEO, and event services. We work with individuals, businesses, and organizations to help them share their stories and bring their ideas to life.
What makes our work different is the personal attention we give to every project. We do not simply create photos, videos, or marketing materials. We take the time to understand the people, purpose, and story behind each project. Our goal is to create work that feels authentic, meaningful, and visually engaging.
I am most proud of how far we have come. I started with limited resources and handled almost everything on my own. Today, Jeevan Productions has a talented team that works together across different creative and professional services. We are still growing, learning, and improving, but our purpose remains the same: to create meaningful work, support our clients, and tell stories that connect with people.
What are your plans for the future?
Our future plans are focused on continuing to grow Jeevan Productions while staying true to the creativity and personal attention that helped us get started. We want to work with more businesses, organizations, artists, and community groups that value meaningful storytelling and high-quality creative work. As the company grows, we want to take on larger media, marketing, and event projects without losing the personal connection we bring to every client.
Another important goal is to create more original films, digital content, and community-focused experiences. We are especially excited about building projects that bring people together, support local businesses, and give talented creatives more opportunities to collaborate.
There are many exciting plans ahead, and I am looking forward to seeing how the company continues to evolve.
