Hi TheBigSuede, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been doing music in some way shape or form. I started at local open mics sneaking into bars an clubs as a 16-17 year old performing at night while attending college during the day to get my certification in audio engineering. I been professionally doing music since 2018. Creating my own genre i call “Sexy Rage” , the city took me in an i just been going up ever since!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not! Having your emotions and feelings that are being communicated through sound constantly judged is NOT easy. I think people forget that im a person just like them my artistry is my real life. I constantly struggle with having my life perceived but thats what comes with being in entertainment! haha
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an music artist. Audio engineer. Producer. Voice Actress. & much more! I’m most proud of creating my own sound , look an vibe in the city! I’m 100% authentically myself. I think there’s alot of similar vibes an sounds in kansas city music right now and i’m glad to be in my own lane.
Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to poring into my city! Right now , i’m working on setting up a nonprofit foundation for the youth interested in media and the arts. I’ve also been looking into the requirements to run for mayor and yeah…..i’m definitely interested in going down that path!
