Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciarra Bendure Sydnie Atherton.
Hi Ciarra Bendure, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sydnie and I met as friends a couple years ago. In January 2026 I decided to make a big career change and reached out to Sydnie who had been with this cleaning company for a few months to see if that company was hiring. She gave me the contact info and within days I made my career change. I was working from home in a corporate setting and just unhappy with the work I was doing. It just was not for me. Sydnie had been a stay-at-home mom for a few years before she began cleaning homes. In February 2026, a close friend of ours mentioned we should start our own cleaning company. We had tossed around the idea once or twice but never really talked about it until our friend mentioned it. That was the spark it took for us to begin our own cleaning company. By March 2026 we got our LLC and were insured. The end of March we both took a huge leap of faith and left the company we were employed with, not knowing what the next few months would entail. By the second week of April, we were fully booked and May was already half booked. We are almost 4 months into owning our business and have the most amazing clients and slowly growing. We have truly been blessed with all the encouragement and support from our close family and friends!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a bumpy road navigating through learning what it takes to run a company. With researching scheduling software’s, figuring out taxes, ensuring we are staying on top of daily tasks, communicating every detail to each other as well as staying on top of our family schedules and routines. We’ve had some rough days but we both manage to get through them with each other’s support. We have this dynamic that just works so well together.
We’ve been impressed with Cleaning Queens KC , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a 2-woman owned cleaning company that serves the Kansas City Metro area. We specialize in deep cleans, maintenance cleans, move ins/move outs and post construction cleans. We service residential and commercial properties. What sets us apart from others is our friendship. We have become so close since starting this journey. The way we support, encourage, and assist each other is what makes us a great team. We are not afraid to ask one another for help. Communicating through every single step has been key to our success. There is nothing that goes on that neither one of us knows about. Who wouldn’t want to go to work every single day with their best friend? The ultimate power team.
Client relationships are so important to us. We tour properties prior to services, always. Why? Meeting new potential clients face to face gives a sense of relief. That initial meet gives us an opportunity to properly introduce ourselves. Not only is viewing the property important but building that trust and respect with a potential client helps seal the deal. We are wives and mothers. Understanding that life gets messy sometimes, we want to help put our clients at ease and de-stress them from all that life throws. We ensure great detail goes into our deep cleans and are very thorough. Customer service is our number one priority. We have had amazing reviews and feedback from so many clients. Grateful is an understatement to how far we have come in a short amount of time. Bring on 2027!
