Meet Samantha Sander of Sander Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Sander.

Samantha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story really starts with a love for creating and telling stories visually. I grew up around production work, helping behind the scenes with camera, lighting, and sound, which gave me an early appreciation for how much goes into bringing an idea to life. Over time, that interest grew into a passion for design, photography, video, and the way visuals can help people feel seen and understood.

I went on to study Graphic Design and Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing at College of the Ozarks, which helped me combine creativity with strategy. After college, I continued building my experience across different creative spaces, eventually landing a full-time graphic design role at Strange Music. That opportunity became a major turning point in my career. Working in such a fast-paced, creative environment pushed me to grow, refine my skills, and learn how to create work that serves both the art and the audience.

Alongside my professional career, I started building Sander Productions as a way to bring all of my creative passions together. What began as a dream has grown into a creative studio focused on photography, design, and video for people and businesses who want their ideas brought to life with intention. I love working with dreamers, visionaries, and brands that have something meaningful to share but need help turning that vision into visuals that feel aligned and true to them.

Where I am today is really the result of years of learning, saying yes to opportunities, growing through challenges, and continuing to believe that creativity has the power to make an impact. I’m still building, still growing, and still dreaming bigger for Sander Productions, but I’m proud of the foundation that has been built so far and excited for what is ahead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like a lot of creatives, I’ve had seasons where I questioned whether I was good enough, skilled enough, or even capable of building the kind of career I dreamed about. Job searching in the creative industry can be really difficult because so much of your work feels personal. When you face rejection, silence, or uncertainty, it can be hard not to take that as a reflection of your worth or your talent.

Imposter syndrome is something a lot of creatives talk about, but it really is a serious struggle in our industry. You can have the education, the experience, the portfolio, and still find yourself wondering if you belong in the room. I’ve had to learn how to separate my value from one opportunity, one client, one job application, or one season of life.

There were definitely moments where I felt discouraged and questioned if I was on the right path. But looking back, those struggles pushed me to keep growing, keep refining my craft, and keep showing up even when it felt hard. They helped shape not only the creative I am today, but also the way I approach Sander Productions. I know what it feels like to have a vision and need someone to believe in it, because I’ve had to learn how to believe in my own.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Sander Productions is for the business owner, organization, or creative visionary who has something meaningful to share but may not know how to visually bring it all together. I offer photography, design, and video, but at the core, my heart is helping people feel confident in how they show up.

A lot of people know they need better content, updated photos, stronger branding, or more consistent visuals, but it can feel overwhelming trying to figure out where to start. That is really where I love to step in. Whether someone needs brand photography, social media graphics, event coverage, video content, promotional materials, or help creating a more cohesive look overall, I want to help make the process feel clear, intentional, and less stressful.

What sets Sander Productions apart is that I look at creative work from both a visual and strategic perspective. Of course, I want things to look beautiful and professional, but I also want them to make sense for the brand, connect with the right people, and feel like something the business owner is proud to share. I have had the opportunity to help rebrand a financial planning company, support a local church with event marketing and video production, and create within the established visual brand of Strange Music. Those experiences have taught me how important it is for every business or organization to have visuals that feel consistent, recognizable, and trustworthy.

I have also walked through the process of building my own brand, so I understand how hard it can be to put your ideas, message, and vision into words and visuals. Sometimes you know what you want people to feel, but you need someone to help translate that into something clear and professional. That is what I love helping people do.

What I am most proud of brand-wise is that Sander Productions is built around intention. I do not want to create just to create. I want the work to serve a purpose and help people move forward with more clarity and confidence. For anyone reading this who feels like their business, organization, or idea has outgrown the visuals they currently have, I would want them to know that their vision is worth taking seriously. Sander Productions exists to help bring that vision to life in a way that feels aligned, meaningful, and true to them.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that might surprise people is how much of Sander Productions has been built in the in-between moments of life. I am not just building a business in a perfectly quiet office with unlimited time. I am building it while working full-time, raising three kids, and learning how to balance family, creativity, faith, and entrepreneurship all at once.

A lot of the work behind Sander Productions has happened after bedtime, during nap times, on lunch breaks, or in small pockets of time where I had to choose to keep going even when life felt full. It has not always been glamorous, but it has made the business feel even more meaningful to me.

I think that is also why I care so deeply about the work I create for others. To me, photography, design, and video are not just about making something look nice. They are about preserving moments, communicating purpose, and helping people bring their vision to life in a way that lasts beyond one post, one project, or one season. I want the work I create to feel intentional and meaningful because I know firsthand how much heart can be behind a dream.
