Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Buffa.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in a small town taught me the value of community, kindness, and making people feel at home. Those are the same values I bring into my salon every day.
Hair has always been more than a job to me—it’s an art. Every haircut, color, and style is an opportunity to create something unique while helping someone feel more confident. I love bringing my clients’ ideas to life and watching them leave my chair smiling.
My style as a hairstylist is laid back and welcoming. I believe getting your hair done should be an enjoyable, relaxing experience, not something that feels rushed or intimidating. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where everyone who sits in my chair feels seen, heard, and comfortable being themselves.
I also know that times can be tough, and self-care shouldn’t have to come with an overwhelming price tag. That’s why I work hard to keep my services as affordable as possible without compromising the quality of my work. Everyone deserves to look their best, feel their best, and have access to professional hair care.
Being trusted with someone’s hair is something I never take for granted. Whether you’re looking for a subtle refresh or a complete transformation, my goal is always the same—to help you leave feeling confident, beautiful, and more like yourself.
Supporting a small business means supporting a dream built with passion, creativity, and heart. I’m grateful for every client who chooses to sit in my chair, and I look forward to welcoming many more into my salon family.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building a loyal clientele. That takes time, patience, and consistency, and there have been moments when it felt discouraging. Starting a business means putting yourself out there, and that can be uncomfortable at times.
I’ve learned that success doesn’t happen overnight. You have to keep showing up, continue improving your craft, and believe in yourself even when progress feels slow. Every client who chooses to sit in my chair is another step forward, and those relationships are what make all the hard work worthwhile.
Looking back, the struggles have taught me resilience. They’ve reminded me that if you’re passionate about what you do and you’re willing to keep going through the difficult seasons, the growth will come.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a hairstylist who specializes in blondes, lived-in looks, and fun color. I’m known for my blondes and fun colors, and I love creating customized styles that help my clients feel confident and leave the salon loving their hair. What I’m most proud of is the work I’ve put in since starting cosmetology school to now. I’ve grown so much by staying committed to learning, improving my craft, and becoming the best stylist I can be at something I truly love. What sets me apart is my passion for what I do and the care I put into every appointment.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that mistakes are a part of growing. Every challenge, setback, or mistake has taught me something valuable and helped me become a better hairstylist and business owner. I’ve learned not to be afraid of making mistakes but to see them as opportunities to learn, improve, and keep moving forward. Growth doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being willing to keep learning, adapting, and believing in yourself even when things don’t go as planned.
