Meet Mia of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia.

Hi Mia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
MJ Creativ Started off as me just being a scrap booker. My daughter’s grandma got me into it right before I had her in August 2020 while COVID was going on. After a while I started working on little things like resin jewelry and started doing pop up events. At my very first even I made my own QR code sign and Customizedy table cloth. When I got to my event other vendors saw it and was in awe and wanted to know who did it and wanted their information. Once I told them it was me ot just went in a whole different direction fr there. I had orders coming in for QR code plaques, table clothes, shirts, and so much more!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning a business isn’t always a smooth ride. You have to put in some pretty long hours. I still work a 9-5 and when I get off I have to come how and work on orders, or stuff for social media, mock ups, inventory for a pop up events. The list can go on. But the satisfaction once it’s all complete and the look on customers faces makes it worth it EVERYTIME!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an all around creative! I make party favors, business promo for small business like table clothes, shirts, business cards and much more. Working with small business is probably my favorite even though it’s a solid cloth with party favors! When I got to pop up events I generally sell whatever new item i taught myself and have someone from my village run it while I network with other vendors on helping them enhance their booth! What sets me apart is that my goal is from all businesses set ups to be as beautiful as their work! So that they are not overlooked based on presentation!

Any big plans?
I definitely plan on exploring sanding as far as teaching classes, working with more small businesses and making so much more things. I’ve never been one to be in a “bid” as far as what I make as a creator! I still have so much more I wanna learn and I can’t wait!
