Rising Stars: Meet Anthony Bertoncin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Bertoncin.

Hi Anthony, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been making content since I was 10 years old. It started with gaming videos, then vlogs, and prank videos, but nothing really got me any traction. Then when I turned 18, I started making travel videos while using my UMKC student loan money to travel. I got the attention of some entrepreneurs on the west coast and they wanted me to come live in a multi-million dollar home in Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, AZ with them full time. I dropped out of college to do so. It was the best year of my life up until that point. I met a bunch of world famous entrepreneurs and influencers, worked with my dream brands, and was traveling for a living. However, after a year, it all fell apart. The business went broke and shortly after I did as well. I started doing everything I could for money. Photography/videography for night clubs, marketing for cannabis companies (even though I didn’t do drugs), and freelancing for influencers that went against my morals. It all led up to me getting drugged by some people that I trusted, and having a seizure because of it. The next day I flew back home to KC to reset my morals and values. My parents gave me the “I told you so” talk and encouraged me to go to a trade school after ruining my opportunity at UMKC. That’s when I got on tiktok and started making videos for fun (@bertoncin). By the grace of God, I got traction month 1… 30k followers. By month 3, 100k followers. By month 6… 1 million, and 2 million within the first year. I became a full time creator on tiktok for the next 2-3 years. I was signed to talent agencies with bryce hall and josh richards, getting brand deals from some of the biggest brands, and again. While everyone else was struggling during covid, I was thriving with this new opportunity. Eventually businesses reached out asking for help. They wanted me to do the same thing for their companies that I did for my brand, and long story short, my content creation agency was born. Now for the last 3 years, I have been helping businesses grow on social media through viral short form content. Some of the most prominent being: GOYA Foods, Toyota, OverTime Men’s Health and GameDay Men’s Health.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Mentioned in the last message

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Most of this was answered in the first message. However from an agency standpoint, what sets us apart from other agencies is the fact I grew 2 million followers before starting the business. Most agency owners have zero personal brand. I would also say, most agencies can’t get clients results organically on social media, so have to pivot to paid ads. Whereas we will get plumbers, roofers, med spas, podcasts, etc. millions of extra views a month, just from making good videos
