Today we’d like to introduce you to Kalyn Bell.
Hi Kalyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story starts with a lot going on at once. I was in college full-time and working full-time. There wasn’t much downtime! During that season, I came across a woman on TikTok who owned her own marketing agency out of Chicago (now NYC), and it seemed like something I would be interested in. I wanted to know exactly how she got from point A to point B in her career.
She ended up putting together a class and basically poured everything she knew into it. That alone was huge for me. We even got to meet in person at a founders’ dinner in New York City. From there, I was really intentional about who I surrounded myself with. Other women who were just as driven and goal-oriented as I wanted to be. Right after I finished my mentorship, I landed my first client! Who is still with my company today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think every business owner runs into struggles/challenges in their career. One of my biggest challenges early on was simply time. Having a full-time job while trying to build something of my own meant my business was often getting whatever energy I had left, and that’s a hard way to grow something you care about.
I’ve also had my share of client experiences that just weren’t the right fit; those kinds of situations teach you a lot. They push you to get clearer on your boundaries and the type of work you actually want to be doing.
And then there’s the journey of figuring out what direction I want to take my business in. That’s something I don’t think people talk about enough. It is okay to not have it all mapped out from day one.
We’ve been impressed with The Only Agency, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My marketing agency offers full-service social media management for both lifestyle/wellness/tech/beauty brands and ambitious founders, meaning we handle everything. So you do not need to know what trends are happening or what to post next. We also do professional content creation for branding and events, which is honestly one of my favorite parts of what we do.

The thing that sets my agency apart from others would be I am hands-on with every single client. Even as the team grows, I’m still in it with you.
Watching this brand evolve over the last few years has been everything. The growth has been real, and we’re just getting started.

My favorite childhood memory would be all of the holidays with my family. We take those very seriously even now.
